In conjunction with International Women’s Day, Sunrider Malaysia has an exclusive interview with successful female entrepreneurs who achieved Top 20 Awards in Personal Sales, Sponsoring, or Most Improved DV in Country Summit Performance Year Awards (August 2019 – July 2020). They share how their lives and their loved ones were transformed through health, freedom, financial security, and lots more! Q1: What’s the major driving force for you to build Sunrider as a business?

• Earning a meagre income of a few hundred ringgit a month when working in sundry shop, I was attracted by the Sunrider potential income. • Choosing the right company with the unique products is of utmost importance when selecting a company to associate with.

Q2: How did your life change after joining Sunrider? • Sunrider changed my life from commuting by bus to owning my first luxury car and upgrading the car model every three years. • From staying in a low-cost house to staying in a condominium. • Freedom and the ability to enjoy life at its best without being time-bound by the working hours at a shop. • Having at least four overseas trips every year, whereby two were company incentive trips and the other two trips are ones I could take to any destination in the world with the high income earned.

Q3: What’s your take on Sunrider? • Sunrider is not just any business; it's a lifestyle and roadmap that holds an abundance of wealth and wellbeing. Sunrider has given me a life rich with Health, Prosperity, and Freedom and the best of all, the chance to empower many other people around me to enjoy the same benefits! • I used to suffer from a slipped disc after a train accident; thus, I had walking difficulties. Q1: What’s the major driving force for you to build Sunrider as a business?

• When I was thirty-six years old, I had a disease involving the pituitary gland. My friend introduced Sunrider® products to me, which helped me through its Philosophy of Regeneration® to get well later on. • I come from a poor family, and I have no education. I was driven by the single goal of wanting to earn a lot of money for the sake of my children. • The Sunrider company background I was amazed that Sunrider has its own plant and the founder, Dr. Tei-Fu Chen, researched, developed, and manufactured all the products with the purpose of fulfilling the needs of his family members, who consume the products themselves. • Sunrider business is inheritable for my children.

Q1: What’s the major driving force for you to build Sunrider as a business?

• It all started when I was not satisfied with the quality of many imported skincare products that I used previously in my beauty salon. I have changed many brands of skincare that are imported from Europe, etc. In 1989, I discovered Sunrider® skincare products, which are natural and used squalane as a base compared to other Chemicalladen products. After me and my family used it, our skin conditions also improved. Since I am also doing a slimming program in my beauty centre, Sunrider also helps for this purpose. From then on, I have been using Sunrider® products in my beauty salon. Sunrider® products are very concentrated, so when applied on the skin, it helps through its Philosophy of Regeneration® on every part of the body.

Q2: How did your life change after joining Sunrider?

• Although I come from a well-to-do traditional Chinese family, as a woman, I had no financial backing. So I had a dream not to be poor. I didn’t want to depend on my husband financially too. • Sunrider transformed me from poor to rich, from small business owner to big business owner, from Malaysianbased entrepreneur to international entrepreneur. I am able to build the Sunrider business in Malaysia and expand it to other countries like US, Canada, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore. • Have a high income and have bought several homes, shophouses, and a luxury car. • Funded my children’s university education in the USA. • Spend time with my children and bring them to holidays. • Sunrider business has a very happy ambiance. I can help a lot of people, especially those who are very poor and have the same dream as me to advance in life. It is a business of helping people to be pretty, healthy, and earn a lot of money, and as a way of contributing to society.

Q3: What’s your take on Sunrider?

• I saw the huge potential in the Sunrider Infinity Compensation plan. With hard work, determination, and consistency, you will succeed. For instance, I used to consistently hold up to five business meetings a day.

• Compared to conventional business with high operation cost, Sunrider is an incredible business opportunity because anyone can do the business, with very low start-up cost at only RM150 that generates a lot of profits and returns. • Therefore, success is about working smart and choosing the correct business and platform. I am grateful I chose the Sunrider path, which has given me more than I could ask for, including health, wellness, beauty, safety, freedom, and economic stability.

Q4: What’s your life motto? • To me, when we do something, it’s either do it or don’t do it. When I do something it means I do it full of passion, dedication, commitment, and perfection.

Q5: What’s your advice for all women out there? • Always do the best and pour your heart and soul into everything you do. Be committed and strive to do the very best in every endeavour. This is because the human life span has a limit. Just use five to ten years to build a business for the sake of your family’s health and happiness. Choosing the right business, platform, and mentor is also important. Not every company has a founder as good as the one in Sunrider International. I have been an entrepreneur for more than 42 years and have seen so many other companies and products. Sunrider is an enormous company that has a strong foundation for us to grow. It will not only last for 40 years but will continue for 50, 100 years and many years ahead. It has the culture of a gigantic multinational corporation. It is a company that we can rely on unlike other companies that come and go. Hence it is worth our time and effort to venture into. Sunrider is also unique, as this multilevel marketing business can be inherited by my second generation. • We should not depend on people or family for survival. We must be independent and work hard! I believe that “If we depend on the mountain, it will fall. If we depend on people, what if the person runs away? So the best would be to depend on yourself.”

HERO | NG AI LANG, TANJUNG MALIM, PERAK Previous Occupation: School Teacher

Q1: What’s the major driving force for you to build Sunrider as a business? • I was a school teacher for 15 years. I was exhausted from the long working hours of 10 to 12 hours of teaching while also being a part-time art teacher. • Moreover, teaching six days of art class every week to increase my income, was at the expense of my health. I needed to use a lot of time to get the income I wanted. I didn’t want to be tied up by classes anymore, exchanging time and health for money. • Furthermore, my salary was insufficient to support my three children’s education, some of whom wanted to pursue professional courses like auditing, accounting, and different courses that totalled up to RM500,000. In 1997, I quit my teaching profession as I wanted to focus on building the Sunrider business.

Q2: How did your life change after joining Sunrider? • The flexible time in Sunrider business gives me things that money cannot buy : health and happiness. Sunrider business gave me “wings” that enabled complete freedom. Before, my life was determined by school time table and classes. Now, I could pursue my hobby in gardening and leisure activities, spend time with my loved ones, and go on overseas holidays without needing to take leave as I am my own boss. • Sunrider is a business that bonded me and my husband together. We travelled everywhere to faraway towns and rural areas to expand our business network. • Sunrider gave me everything a mother can dream of. I achieved my goal of collecting the education fund for my children within five years of pursuing Sunrider business seriously. My children were a big motivation for me for progressing in Sunrider. I even managed to help my son to start his salon business.

Q3: What’s your take on Sunrider? • Sunrider is an incredible enabler for our dreams to come true. Of course there are many other avenues to earn money but why Sunrider? I earned enough money through my art classes and my job. However, I built the Sunrider business because I wanted to double my income without causing me health issues. Sunrider also enables me to share the same benefits with my friends to help them in turn, achieve their own personal goals and fund their children’s education like ho I did for mine. We can also gather our retirement fund so that we do not need to depend on our children when age catches up with us.

Q4: What’s your life motto? • Being rich is having money. Being wealthy is having time. Never let others dictate your time!

Q5: What’s your advice for all women out there? • In order to have a comfortable lifestyle, we need to choose the right platform and business to build. • Have a stable income for a happy, healthy family and enjoyable life. • Be financially independent and help the family. Sometimes, when we work for people, we will have fewer chances of flexible time, and it would be challenging to juggle family, kids, and work simultaneously. • Have a desire for something better, as it will motivate you to keep on progressing. • Help the friends and people around you through a business like Sunrider that comes with wellness and health.

If your "why" is strong enough, then you can face whatever challenges are and will find ways to overcome these challenges. Always look at what you can do, instead of what you cannot do! Stop listening to people who say “cannot” or discourage you.

Having done so many firsts way back in 2020, we have kick-started the new year of 2021 with our first-ever Sunrider.fm radio party on Jan 16, 2021. The idea of Sunrider.fm was formed because during the Covid-19 pandemic, lockdowns were imposed, hence outdoor festivals and gatherings are off-limits. However, we wanted our Malaysian community to still get the chance to bond with each other, basically connect and party together!

for your participation and making Sunrider Day a successful event. This day also marks another successful beginning for the year! On January 23, 2021, we had a total of 46 Sunrider virtual and offline sharing sessions hosted by our home-grown Sunrider Malaysia’s Independent Business Owners and Sunrider Malaysia’s corporate team. The event attracted over 10,306 views and achieved a high number of live engagement with 5,756 combinations of public reactions, comments, and shares that joined us in experiencing the Sunrider Difference and understanding the power of herbal products in supporting our body and health.

Sharing Sessions of “Relaxation & Wellness”: During the interactive live sessions, the hosts demonstrated some useful techniques of massage. In addition, the hosts explained thoroughly about Sunrider’s wellness products such as SunBreeze® Essential Oil or Kandesn® Spa Massage Oil, which helps in relaxing our body, mind, and soul.

During the sessions, we focused on the main themes as follows:

Sharing Sessions of “Child Essentials” Theme: Sharing Sessions of “Boost & Protect”: Most of the hosts shared their knowledge on how to maintain good health by boosting the immune system through highly concentrated Sunrider® products such as Citric C™ Tabs, Quinary®, and Fortune Delight®, while guiding the guests on how to protect themselves from germs by using Kandesn® Hand Cleansing Gel.

Next, most of the parents were excited to share their insights from the benefits their children gained from Sunrider kids’ products.
