You may know me from YouTube as the guy who makes those cool orchestral arrangements of <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6h3tP5rqMxs" target="_blank">Undertale</a> &amp; <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAAGe0OogjI&amp;list=PLV7XMpGFbjB5wwex0Nn7271NJ-Zr56Zwa" target="_blank">RWBY</a>! I also go by "McTricky", or "3LancePro". I'm from London, UK and I compose video game music! Well, I suppose I do other things as well such as make video games, and other things! Currently, my main focus as of late has been an RPG I've been working on called Palasiel Quest (<a href="https://mctricky.itch.io/palasielquest" target="_blank">DEMO A</a>)! It is an old-school styled role-playing game that takes place in the world of Palasiel. It's a world that is created and governed by The Creator. Palasiel is in a state of chaos; empires are falling, kingdoms are toppling and dark forces are at play. Many years ago, three heroes managed to quell the evil, but not completely. The Creator then decides to..."borrow"...five people from Earth, who will become Palasiel's new champions!<a href="https://i.imgur.com/ZS5voDa" target="_blank"></a> <a href="https://i.imgur.com/RN3JtI7" target="_blank"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/RN3JtI7.png" style="float: right; width: 175px; margin: 0px 0px 10px 10px;"></a> However, these new champions have all been spirited away at different times. Some of have been in Palasiel longer than others. Daran, the appointed "main protagonist" has just arrived and his instructions from The Creator are very simple. "You are the chosen one. There is an evil lord to defeat. Go." The game is a love letter to my favourite RPGs I grew up playing, including Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Tales of and even Danganronpa (though, that is not an RPG)! For more information, you can find it from the game's <a href="http://bitly.com/PalasielQuestRPG">website</a>! <img src="https://i.imgur.com/sFM4p7b.png"> I am in the process of developing Demo B of the game. The current demo is called <a href="https://mctricky.itch.io/palasielquest">Demo A</a> and runs for about an hour and is meant to serve as a kind of tech demo. The game starts from about an hour in, and misses key character introductions. Demo B will serve to be a more complete experience which will compose of the first 3 hours of the game. <a href="https://i.imgur.com/jkpQiDj" target="_blank"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/jkpQiDj.png" style="float: left; width: 168px; margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px;"></a> Palasiel Quest is a self-funded effort and has been for a while. Fortunately, as a video game composer, creating the music for the game comes free. But art assets and voice acting costs money and it's all been coming out of pocket so far! Funds from Patreon will go towards commissioning art assets and paying for voice acting. As well as developing Palasiel Quest, I also make orchestral battle arrangements of video game music (sometimes anime and TV shows, too)! I used to them two every month, but as I am now developing Palasiel Quest as a main focus, uploads are irregular as I am composing music not only for the game but for clients. My main musical project at the moment is Kingdom Hearts: Light Begets Darkness, which is a Kingdom Hearts arrangement album being handled by myself. It will feature 26 tracks spanning across the Kingdom Hearts series. The album aims to focus on making epic and upbeat renditions of certain pieces from the series as well as adding new takes on the battle themes. For example, you can listen to the theme of <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFiQvo1zrqs" target="_blank">Kairi</a> made as a battle theme, as well as Kingdom Hearts 2's opening song <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2EVcV4NtGw" target="_blank">Sanctuary</a> as a battle theme. <a href="https://i.imgur.com/BWAt1Aw" target="_blank"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/BWAt1Aw.png" style="float: right; width: 159px; margin: 0px 0px 10px 10px;"></a> I will be posting the tracks here for patrons to listen to, well before they are released publicly! When the album is complete, patrons will also get a free copy of the album!
