The Health Equity Alliance (HEA) is a community coalition working together to develop strategies to decrease inequity in COVID-19 vaccination rates in our region. As a member, you'll promote the importance and safety of COVID-19 vaccines and help make vaccines available to our community. HEA meetings are on the first Monday of each month and are open to current members and anyone who wants to learn more.
Members will:
- Facilitate access to COVID-19 vaccines in the River Region counties of Lowndes, Macon, and Montgomery.
- Assist in developing and implementing an education and outreach plan.
- Attend at least two of the 21 meetings scheduled throughout the two-year project term.
- Attend at least four events hosted by the Health Equity Alliance.
- Have the opportunity to become a COVID-19 Information Trusted Messenger.
