He hates to want her. She wants to hate him.

Remi Tanner wasn’t part of the plan. But when I see my uncle doting on her, I know she’s going to help me destroy him.

I’ll taunt her.

Test her.

In the end, I’ll break her.

Ace Jagger wasn’t a good guy. But he swept into my life like a storm, and I’m caught up in the aftermath.

He’s cruel.

Calculating.

In the end, I never stood a chance.

She might be a Sterling Prep princess, and I might be the guy from the wrong side of the tracks, but one thing's for sure... I won’t stop until I get what I want.

Revenge.

Taunt Her is a dark high school bully romance. If possessive, tattooed, motorcycle-riding alphaholes aren't your thing, you probably won't like this book!

TAUNT HER: is the first full length bully romance book in the series 'Rebels At Sterling Prep', by new to me author Caitlyn dare. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'

With the vast amount of bully romances on the market not many can stick out amongst the crowd, so it's hard finding something unique now. And I think that's what half the problem was with this book, we've read it before, numerous times, but in saying that I still enjoyed this one. It did exactly what I was hoping it would and that was to pull me out of my book funk. I'd tried many one click books beforehand and this one pulled me in over others. So for that I am thankful!! I think the author did a really good job with this one. I connected with the storyline and the characters.

Bully romance
Bring on the angst

This is exactly the type of bully book I was seeking, the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks lays claim to the princess! Their journey is a bumpy road, he's out for revenge and she's just a pawn in his game. I enjoyed this one, inhaled it and if arcs weren't getting boomeranged onto my ipad I'd be jumping onto the next book!! This cliffy was brutal!!

Ace was your typical bad boy, he's rough around the edges, runs with the wrong crowd, tattoo's, piercings, with a give no sh#ts attitude, and a big chip on his shoulders, but delve deeper and he'd give up his soul for his twin brothers. Life hasn't been the easiest for any of them, but more so in Ace's case, as he had to step up when no one else would and take care of his brothers by any means he could.

Remi is a good girl who follows the rules, she's had a few hardships in her life which has caused a few friendships to crumble, and a father that chose a new family over the one he'd already had. Now her mum's dating someone else and he's just taken on his nephew's this is where Ace and his brothers pop into the story.

So all in all I really enjoyed this one, the chemistry between our Hero and Heroine and Ace's need for vengeance was an entertaining read. Throw in the brothers strong bond and it definitely kept me reading.

“It’s not just your battle now. They hurt you, then they hurt me. And no motherfucker hurts me.”

And guess what? Hardly had he said the words, I swooned. Not quite literally though. Asshole or not, he is a protective one at that.

I'm such a sucker for this type of heroes that I would be embarrassed... if I had any shame, lol.

ALL MY REVIEWS CAN BE FOUND ON MY BLOG: ABSTRACT BOOKS

Taunt her is the first book of the Rebels At Sterling High Duet , written by Caitlyn Dare. Told in dual perspectives , this was one hell of a bully romance !!

I have been waiting for this duet for a really long time and now I finally have it!! Bully Romances seem to be my addiction these days and Caitlyn has done an amazing job of delivering that!!

Here we get to meet Ace and Remi. Ace is a bad boy thorough and thorough. He has spent his life taking care of his brothers and does whatever he wants to ensure their security. All he wants is the best for his brothers . Soon they all are shifted to their uncle's house . His uncle is a very rich person, but Ace has something against him. He will destroy anyone who comes in his path of taking that revenge.

Remi is the daughter of the woman dating Ace's uncle. She wa rich in the past, but that is not the case as her father left them both for some other family. She is trying to get her life back on track , as well as her heart to move on from that betrayal.

Both Ace and Remi collide into each other like Fire and Ice. They have multiple warnings from other people to stay away from each other. But that does not have any effect on them. They have a rough start but sooth out things in the end.

That ending!!! My god , it seems like I have even more questions than what I had in the starting of this book. I can't wait for Tame him!! That book is going to blow everyone's mind!!!

This book is recommended to all the dark romance lovers who love to get their mind twisted. I am telling you , you all will love hating Ace!!

This book was such a pleasant surprise for me! It's been a long time since I read a bully high-school romance but this story got me sooo hooked!

I'm not going to write a long review because I'm too busy reading the next book in the series (sorry not sorry 🤭). I really liked the fact that besides the romance there's also mystery in this book and I loved that it was dark. I love sweet high-school romances but once in a while the dark ones are just what I need.

I loved both the main and the side characters, especially Remi, a heroine with a backbone! She doesn't instantly fall for Ace and when she does she doesn't show it. She's not impressed by money, good looks, popularity and that's why she doesn't have many friends. As for Ace, he wants everyone to think that he's an @sshole but in reality he's only a tortured soul. Everything he does is because he wants to provide for his younger brothers. He cares deeply for Remi even though he doesn't want to appear vulnerable because of a girl.

I loved both Cole and Conner (Ace's brothers) and I'm really interested in reading their stories but first things first, I need to read Tame Him, can't wait to see what happens between this couple with the off-the-charts chemistry! 👀

Note: An ARC was provided generously by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Honestly, this novel shook me. I mean I was rocked by the fact that I could relate strongly to the novel based on the incidents that kept happening to the heroine, but the romance was not something I felt to be able to relate to.

The romance was okay, I wish there was some courting as well, aside from the physical. The steam was good, just wish the romance had been more I guess, meaningful.

And the drama that often happened (almost 90% of the time in the novel) was intriguing, and relatable to a degree, but sometimes it was a bit too much. But they were kids and this is fiction, so it would have been over the top a bit.

Regardless, this first novel in the series, was a pretty good one, despite some faults. I can't wait to read the sequel once it reaches my hands.

Hope you all enjoyed the review.

Until the next read,

I'm quitting @ 6% after the hero called the heroine "princess" twice in a row. I'm scarred from Untouchable (In Untouchable the hero called the heroine princess ad nauseum & it's now a pet peeve of mine). Also, the writing style, while not bad, is too overt for my tastes with little subtext. It's hammering on the bully romance tropes hard right out of the gate, with not much action to back up all the telling...but those who read a lot of this genre may really like this book. I fully admit for any author who writes new adult/bully romances I'm their nightmare reader, because I have very specific tastes & anything that veers away from that makes me unhappy. So to be fair I'm not rating this book.

Caitlyn Dare.

That’s a name I will remember from now on.

Why?

Because she managed to make me love a book in a trope I am usually very anxious about reading.
Dark bully/highschool romance isn’t a genre I usually get into for the simple reason that I lived it.
Without the romance part, lol.

Sometimes I feel too much, ye ken?

But every now and again I like to challenge myself and step outside of my comfort zone.
That’s what happened here and I am so glad I did!

REMI
Och, man! I loved her, so I did.
She’s been cast out of the “in crowd” and is bravely facing each day head-on even though she’s been dealt a crappy hand.

She used to have it all. Popularity, great friends, happy home life and plenty of money.
Life did a full 180 on her, however, and basically fucked up everything.

We all know how cruel teenagers can be if they sense weakness and are desperate for power and attention, right?

So, yeah, she tries to keep her head down and finish out her senior year.
Life has more surprises for her though when she meets the Jagger boys.
One, in particular, seems to enjoy ruffling her feathers. Ace.

Her mum’s boyfriend (James) takes in the boys when their mum dies and things get...interesting.
She hides so much from everybody about how she’s struggling with life at the moment and even though Ace gets right on her tits, there is something about him that makes her heart beat fast and her knickers wet.

So she has secrets and sadness. And this boy from the wrong side of the tracks could be a welcome distraction...but she doesn’t let her guard down easily.
Can she trust him?

ACE
From the very first chapter, this guy had me panting.
And now I’m concerned...does that make me a cougar? He’s 18/19…

Anyway, he has to redo his senior year because when his mum succumbed to her drug and alcohol addiction after his father was killed he was the one who had to watch over and feed his twin brothers even though they were only a year younger than him.

They lived in the roughest part of town and grew up fast. And hard.
They were hungry, cold and scared.

So he did whatever he had to, to provide...and that meant moving ‘packages’ for the local gang lord/drug dealer. It’s a scary and violent world.
Then life fucks them over again and their mum dies!

So in steps Uncle James to bring them into his home and look after them.
This guy has tons of money and power. So where the fuck was he when the boys were cold and hungry?
Memories flash through my mind like a fucking movie. Mom strung out on the couch while I attempted to cook dinner so my brothers wouldn’t go to bed hungry. Mom having her special friends visit and me having to take my brothers out in the rain just to get them away from what was about to happen, the noises that she would happily allow them to listen to in the other room. Then there’s the most pressing issue. Our dad. The man who died all those years ago, leaving us with that fucking disaster of a mother while our dear old uncle turned his back on us. He knew what our life was like, and he just walked away.

He hates him with a passion and has no intention of letting it slide.
He’s tough and cold and detached from everyone and just doesn’t give a fuck anymore...or does he?

SEX SCENES
Again I’m gonny say: Where the hell were these kinds of guys when I was 18??? I want to complain to the manger!

Her lips are parted as her increased breaths race past. Her eyes are almost black with desire and her cheeks rosy red. She looks fucking incredible. And all mine for the taking. “I need you to do something for me.”“Y-yes, anything.” A wicked smile plays on my lips. “Make sure you scream my name when you come all over my fingers.” Her cheeks only get redder at my words, and I love that I can make her blush. My innocent little princess. The things I have to teach you. Before she gets a chance to think, I part her lips. “Fuck me,” I groan, finding her soaking wet for me. “You weren’t fucking lying, were you?” She shakes her head. Finding her clit, I rub circles around it before pinching down hard. Her lips form an O in shock and her eyes flutter closed. “Eyes on me,” I demand. “You watch me as I do this to you.” She nods ever so slightly, and one side of my lips tilts up at her compliance. Slipping my fingers lower, I find her entrance and circle a few times. “Oh god. Fuck. Ace,” she chants. I can tell she’s desperate to close her eyes, but she follows orders like a good little princess. Pushing one digit inside her, I bite down on my cheek when I find her incredibly tight. Fuck, how she’ll feel around my cock. Her body trembles before me as I slide deeper inside her. Mewls and moans of pleasure fall from her lips as her eyelids get heavier, but at no point does she close them. With my thumb against her clit and two fingers deep inside her, her walls start to ripple as she drips down my hand. “Do you have any idea how wet you are for me right now?” She shakes her head. She’s so lost to what I’m doing to her, I doubt she even registers my words. “Your juices are running down my hand.”“Oh god.”“It’s. So. Fucking. Hot.” Bending my fingers, I find the spot that will have her screaming and rub at her relentlessly. A sheen of sweat begins to cover her skin, and unintelligible words and pleas fall from her lips as she races towards orgasm. It’s fucking hypnotic, watching her fall. Then, all of a sudden her body quakes and she does exactly as she was told. “Acccce.” Her scream fills the silent space around us and ensures that anyone who might be in hearing distance knows exactly who’s doing this to her. Exactly as I want it.

FINAL THOUGHTS on TAUNT HER by Caitlyn Dare
Fuck me, this was a good book! I need more...now!
Not only was Ace and Remi’s story amazing but I am super into the other characters in this book. I’m desperate to get into Cole’s head and I want to know Hadley’s story!
Amazing writing.

Gimme all the bully romances! I live for them, and I was super excited to dive into this debut from Caitlyn Dare. Taunt Her is the first in the Rebels At Sterling Prep series. This book definitely had the makings of all the things I love about bully romances- opposite attract, irrational vendettas, angsty drama, push-pull dynamics, and a tatted up alphahole who just gets you all hot and bothered. Splash in some twists and the super likable brothers and we’ve got an interesting story to explore.

Ace is an eighteen year old bad boy- tats, drugs, doing some shady business on the side- all because he’s been single-handedly caring for his younger twin brothers (and by younger, it’s like ONE year younger) while his mother basically shriveled into herself. Once she dies, his estranged, very rich uncle, who hasn’t lifted a hand to help them or their mother in all these years, agrees to take them in since the twins are underage. Ace has to repeat his senior year and wants to be with them, so even though he’s 18, he goes along. He’s also interested in punishing his uncle - and while we don’t know the full story, we know it is for more than just being absent. His uncle's girlfriend has a teenage daughter, Remi. Ace, determined to hurt his uncle and seeing his uncle’s protectiveness over Remi decides hurting her is the way to get his revenge. Unfortunately, though, the more time he spends trying to torture her, the more he likes her- she surprises and challenges him. He’s drawn to her gentleness and her strength, and when he realizes that she’s not the snotty rich girl he assumed, but rather someone like him who has been abandoned, an outsider, who carries a lot of pain- he can’t deny their connection.

Ace is really hard at first- he’s a tough guy, he’s an edgy alpha, and he literally gives zero Fs about anyone or anything but his brothers- that is until he has a shot at revenge, and until he falls for Remi. Remi, however, is immediately likable- she’s got some sass and won’t be bullied, but she’s also good-natured, patient, and compassionate. She brings out all the yumminess in Ace- smoothing his hard edges into a controlling but tender man. Both of them have suffered at the hands of their parents, both feel like outsiders in their own world, both feel completely alone even though they are surrounded by others. And once Ace realizes this, all bets are off- the two embark on a passionate, angsty push-pull journey. There are ample plot twists, a decent level of steam, and some sweet emotional turns. We soon discover that Ace isn’t the only shark in the water, and as their romance evolves, we not only have unanswered questions about Ace’s motivations and just how real his feelings are but also are trying to figure out just what is going on with some of our other characters. CD had us guessing up until that brutal end.

For a bully book, the bully aspect of this relationship actually didn’t last very long. Ace quickly gets jealous and possessive and also defensive when he realizes Remi’s situation and that others are cruel to her, and so while he is still hot and cold in places with her, this becomes more about the push--pull of their dynamic than a bully vibe. Which worked- because that dynamic was interesting, and to be honest, I needed that to start to like Ace-to see a different side to him. When his possessive, alpha pseudo boyfriend comes out then I started swooning- and their chemistry is really intense and progressively explosive when they start to give into it. We get some yummy steamy times, but I appreciated how CD also had these characters start to open up emotionally to each other, and that vulnerability combined with the steam had me SUPER invested in the two of them growing together. On paper they couldn’t be more different, but they understand each other in ways that no one else can.

The bully/revenge element didn’t quite add up for me and seemed a bit foggy. I can’t tell if it is because there is information we don’t have- this is a duet, so we don’t know everything, or if something just wasn’t as clear in the storytelling- but Ace using Remi to get to his uncle just doesn’t make full sense, and his indecision was a bit grating especially since we still don’t fully GET it. There isn’t much interaction or relationship building between Remi and Ace’s uncle, so that may be part of it. Later we do see his uncle suspiciously doting on her, but before then I’m not sure we had enough content for it be logical to think that hurting her would “destroy” his uncle. Both Ace’s and Remi’s back stories have a lot of unanswered questions- which again, DUET, so I expected that, but I’m not sure I got enough answers to buy into Ace’s motives yet. All that said, as I mentioned, the bully aspect really dissipates pretty quickly for a “bully” book- and the focus is more so on the budding romance of Remi and Ace than this bully/revenge angle, so I suspended my logic and just went along for the ride! The romance and the twists are hooking!

Overall, this is a solid start to an exciting new series from an exciting new author pair. I’m hopeful book 2 will answer the questions and make a few things click, but even if not, I’m invested enough in Remi and Ace and am SHOCKED enough by that painful cliffhanger ending to want to know how things end up.

Can we as a society collectively decide, that "using" a girl and breaking her heart is an ineffective way to get revenge against her father/uncle/grandpa/guardian/etc? Please and thank you!

Hear me out: the book was halfway decent, since the flow was good and the writing itself easy to follow. Plus the chemistry between the couple was there.

But the plot was shit . Three teenage brothers move from trailer park to live with their rich uncle. The older boy is pissed off at the uncle for "leaving them with their mother" 🤔☠️ as opposed to what? Stealing them from their mother? I don't know about you, but in my world aunts/uncles don't owe shit to their extended family, unless they feel gracious and generous. The uncle takes them to his mansion and sets some ground rules, the bastard! You know, like no drugs and alcohol, no parties at the house, no skipping school and fighting. Our hero, Ace, hates this cruel uncle and believes him to be a manipulative asshole in need of unmasking. His GRAND PLAN consists of following: seducing the daughter of his uncle's girlfriend, breaking her heart and in this way forcing a confession from the shocked lips of the uncle 👀👀👀👀👍

Nevermind the stupidity of this plan, right after the hero takes the heroine's virginity, he breaks up with her, goes back to his trailer park, gets beaten up bloody and understands that his plan was stupid and he could never follow through with it anyway, because he "cares" for the heroine.

The last chapter is a clusterfuck in and of itself that deserves to be experienced by everyone without spoilers.

I will say, that the heroine is the ONLY CHARACTER in the book who acts believable and is actually a greatly written girl. Which makes it even more sad that she is surrounded by idiots. Makes me wanna pluck her right out of this book and into something else with great book boyfriends and shitty heroines.

Had the author shifted her perspective from cheap angst and silly revenge plots to the conflict of two worlds, the hardships that come from not believing in oneself while trying to reinvent one's live, this book would be banger. The potential was RIGHT THERE! Ace was a hero deeply loyal to his brothers, wanting what's best for them and not believing the same for himself. The conflict of him falling in love with the heroine and pushing her away due to that insecurity would be angsty teenage drama, but REALISTIC. finding his way in the world of the rich and entitled while still remaining true to himself would be so much more rewarding to read about! Alas, we have what we have 🤷

There’s so many scenes where the hero lied to the heroine and this book unfortunately is also a headache😂😂😂 Like seriously the author doesn’t even pay attention or something? Cause when the hero lied to the heroine, I was like seriously? He is lying for sure and why did that actually have to happen? 😂

DARK ROMANCE HIGH SCHOOL HOT ROMANCE STORY. Yep its dark.

I don’t know about safe because there’s so many scenes that is not safe🥵

The story begins with the hero and his twin brothers are living in a crap trailer place and his uncle’s driver pick them up and take them to their new house. These brothers have not a easy or loving environment growing up because of their parents so it was hard for them to accept their new house and luxurious. “I want my old life. My shitty trailer. My state school and dead end opportunities.” Also the uncle of them invited them so suddenly and these brothers are young like 18 and 17 years old thats why they can’t process that new big change so fast like what the uncle wanted them to be. The brothers have good relationships with each other because they have a hard life before and they went through everything together. The uncle have been absent for a very long time so it was also hard for them to really like the uncle because he really abandoned them in that place when he have to do it sooner. And after they just arrived for couple of hours, the uncle announced so easily that his girlfriend and her daughter is coming by to have dinner together and welcomed the boys. The heroine is the daughter of his uncle’s girlfriend. THE HERO immediately wants the heroine after he first saw her just across the living room. “The brunette however, captures my imagination quite nicely.” Like he really really wants her. It was hot and romantic actually when I read it. Because when they met for the first time, the heroine have to sit in next to the hero and he was touching her thigh quite some time “my body tense when his hand lands on my thigh. Hard. Possessive. As if I’m a piece of property he just claimed.” and even follow her to the restroom to see her like she’s the main meal. He even went closer to her side and say “you smell so fcking good.” 🤣 He then follows her to the restroom only talking a bit and they see each other again at a party. Before going to the party, the hero goes to his friends near by and talk to them. One of his regular hookup starts to touch him inappropriate but he stops her immediately before she goes too far. His reason is “her lifeless blonde hair is doing nothing for me right now. I’ve got my sights set on a certain brunette.” Which is good when I read it because without him realizing, he starts to feel something for the heroine. Because this hero is really a nutcase, so cold and so childish and problematic child and so insecure. After that, the hero goes to the party, A party that the hero just crash because he thinks its cool to show off to his new soon school mates that he is the sh*t now and no one mess with him. Very arrogant hero. He didn’t expect to see the heroine at the party but he did see her and he went for her. He went for her so fast because he saw a guy put his hands on the heroine and he was jealous and that was the first jealous scene from the hero. The hero even talk to himself that “she belongs to me now, and no one touches whats mine.” After the party, they see each other again at school. It was the hero and his brothers first day of the new private school. Uniform and sh*t lol. Surprisingly, the heroine and hero is in the same class together. When the hero first came in and sit beside her, some girls says to him “you can sit next to me.” But he doesn’t acknowledge her ever. He’s main focus is the heroine. There’s also a girl try to invite the hero to go to the beach but he decline. He even ask if the heroine will be there as well and when the girl say no, then he say of course no. Then he stare at the heroine most of the time at class and even when the teacher warn him not to, he replies saying “but she smells so fcking good”. After class they part ways and the hero tries to see his new school by sitting somewhere. A certain blonde girl also sit to the hero’s lap because she thinks his new at the school and he is hot, but the hero immediately lift her from his lap and said not interested. Cool move. The next day, the hero and his brothers are having breakfast together with the heroine because the heroine’s mom said it will be great. When the twins are eating, the hero went to the restroom and the heroine went to her room. She saw the hero sits on her bed and after talking a bit, the hero kissed her hard. That was so hot though😀 the hero did not wait any second for that😂 which is nice to me. The hero have many more than he can count offers of rich sl*t who attend the school to have it with him, but he say no. “But one look at Remi (the heroine), the day we moved here, and I knew no one else could come close to giving me what I needed.” Not only the hero is very possessive towards the heroine, but he became very obsessed with her as well… “every motherfcker in this place needs to know she’s mine, because no one dares put their hands on anything that belongs to me.” YEP THAT WAS THEIR FIRST MEETING FIASCO. Actually It was romantic and hot 😝

Then it was a hot mess…. Then it was too fcking annoying… well at least for me.

WHAT I DON’T LIKE ABOUT THE BOOK(sorry but i just have to say it):

1. The hero is so freakin childish. I get it, he been through a lot of bad things in his life that made him the way he is. But seriously, harming the heroine when she have nothing to do with your life situation doesn’t gonna give you solutions. The hero always made the heroine confused about her feelings and always pushing her away too many freakin times. So super annoying.
2. THE HERO FREAKIN LIES. Not all the time though but he lies. Lies in front of the readers that reading it😂 he lies to the heroine of not touching the other woman when he did!!!!!! He said to himself that he was faking it but you did anyway. He touch her thigh up to her ass cheek and he let her touch his chest and face too. But what did he tell the heroine? “I haven’t touched that poisonous btch.” He also say it again “i never touched her, and i certainly didn’t let her touch me. It was all a ruse to get her talking.” BULLSHIT. Why you even lie? Damn when I read that i was so annoyed af because seriously? Wtf.
3. THE HEROINE IS TOO FREAKIN WEAK TO STAND UP FOR HERSELF AGAINST THE HERO AND TO ANYONE WHO BULLIES HER. LIKE WTF. HAVE A FREAKIN BACKBONE! FIGHT THEM. FIGHT THE HERO. But nooooo…. Even when the hero makes huge mistakes that is sooo out of line, what did the heroine do? The heroine give him a chance again and again. After the hero kissed her, she just melts away without even talk about it. When the bullies say bad things to her quite some times, what she do? She runs away, she said not worth it, she cried and hide. Like wtf??!
4. Her mom oh my g. Her mom is annoying af. She knew the stories about the heroine and her bullies at school, she invites the bullies to her daughter’s birthday thinking its the right thing to do. Like wtf? Her mom always defends her bullies even when the heroine told the stories about them. She even defends the worst enemy of the heroine like so much. WHAT THE ACTUAL FCK IS THAT.
5. When the hero starts to feel something for the heroine, he got scared and insecure and start a plan. A plan to destroy the heroine, so that his uncle will be destroyed too because the heroine was the uncle’s girlfriend’s daughter. He was mad at his uncle because his uncle abandon he and his twin brothers for quite some time when they needed help. Like seriously? Putting the heroine to your family matters revenge is not cool at all especially when she have nothing to do with it. He destroyed her by touching some woman in front of her, not too far though but there’s was a touch alright. Then he search for her again when he misses her, she accept him so easily. No punishment. Wtf. So weak heroine. I’m so disappointed on the heroine.
6. When the hero makes mistakes like a huge mistakes, he ask the heroine so easily, “can I see you tonight?” 😂 like so easily….
7. The hero push the heroine many times and its freakin annoying.
8. When the heroine give the hero her virginity, he hurt her the damn second he slipped out of her. So not cool. Hurt her by words. He doesn’t even appreciate that she is giving him that to her.
9. The hero flims the other woman naked to get revenge because the other woman was the heroine’s biggest enemy. The other woman was wasted and naked in bed and the hero plays her like that. The heroine understands and okay with it. Wtf? I know he doesn’t even have s*x with the other woman but by just okay with it and no argument seriously? What he did was wrong. He shouldn’t even see that other woman naked when he always says to himself and everyone and to the heroine that he is obsessed and in love with the heroine. What he did was wrong. So wrong.
10. The hero is so freakin selfish. He demands the heroine told him sooner about somethings when other times, he doesn’t even tell her things and when she find out, she didn’t even get mad either. So yeah i guess both are wrong and stupid too.
11. Their chemistry is good but for me is not healthy because of how the hero lies and childish and the heroine is weak and stupid sometimes lol.

Mostly out of all, I hate when the hero lies to the heroine about the other woman. He did touch the other woman but he claims he doesn’t when he does. Motherfcker.

It made me think that in the future when the hero do something like that again, he will lie again and doesn’t be honest to the heroine.

This book gave me a headache. The drama was too childish and because of that, it made the romance so annoying to read. Like i get the feeling this not a love story but just a stupid story. Lol.

‼️‼️‼️TRIGGER: Killing, drugs, bad parents, addiction, violence, almost r*pe, hospital and alcohol.

‼️‼️‼️The heroine is a beautiful weak virgin, the hero is ott possessive protective stupid childish alpha male, the hero is not a virgin and use to be a manwhor* in the old days when he was living at the trailer, love in first sight, many jealous scenes from both, many drama with OW AND OM and other drama is about their family and themself, the heroine and hero is at the same age 18 years old, very hot smut scenes, yes they did talk about past partner well mostly the hero did but not too much. Location? I forgot where but they always goes to the beach though. Hope that helps lol. The hero did protect the heroine but physically, not emotionally and not mentally. Just physically.

Happy ending? No. Just both are starting to living together in a huge house. Double the annoyance lol.

Do i enjoy the story? Meh.

Its hard to like and enjoy the story when there’s many unnecessary drama that is not healthy and its toxic. I have better other book about high school drama that is safe and romantic, not like this one. This one is mostly them vs each other and not them vs the world.

👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽Thank you so much for reading my review❤️❤️ For you who loves my review and follow it, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I did not get paid or be told to do a review on a book. I’m here just to write review about a book so i can remember it. Its my honest opinion😚 I didn’t know at first people will find me and follow me and trust me to be honest, I was surprised myself to look at the notifications from people who reach out to me😆 So everything i write down here on a review is based on my personal opinion and based on my true writing. I DID NOT COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW OR WRITING SKILL because at first when i was using this app for one year i didn’t know how to scroll down on a book and see the reviews from others😂😅🤣 I know, silly me but hey I finally learned my lesson 😛😛😛 Thats why when people assume i copy someone’s review i was like what? Because at first i didn’t know how to use this app properly and i didn’t know how to open someone’s review because for a year i never follow someone or add friends or someone😂😂😂🤣 (I’m laughing so hard) 🤪 AND I NEVER COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW EVER. IF I WRITE SOMETHING WRONG OR DOESN’T MAKE SENSE PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND BE NICE OKAY. 👈🏽👈🏽👈🏽✋🏽✋🏽

I have a disclaimer down bellow if you have negative thoughts about my review😙😙😙

🌐🌐🌐➡️↘️⬇️➡️This is my own personal thoughts and opinion about the book so if thats not sit right with you or you feel I’m not being fair blablabla, please know that everybody in this world have their own different things that they like and don’t like. It may not be the same thing with you but thats okay because i am my own person and you cannot control me or tell me what to do. For example; i put ketchup (tomato sauce) on my fried chicken. You think that’s disgusting? For me its not and i’ve been eating it like that for many many years. You tell me to put another sauce and see if i like that better? I already did many many times in years but i still like the way i like it. It’s called differences between me and you and billions people in this world😊 be open minded😙 I respect people’s opinions about my opinions but in the end of the day if i say I don’t like it or i do like it, its up to me and its on me. And in the end of the day i always liked and show my respect to books and people’s opinions on books whenever that book is good or not good in my opinion 😊 Respect people’s opinions guys😙😙 I don’t want to write this down because its not really my thing to do it. To like address something like this when obviously i know the people who’s been reading my reviews many times and all the time, they are smart enough to understand and respect other people’s opinions no matter what their opinions on book or their point of view 😙😙 am i right? 💕 also there are people even though i already write “this book is different because i have my own taste of book” those people still comment my taste is this and that when HELLO… everybody have their own thoughts on books and what they want to read… why i read it then? I read it and give it a review because i have to read a book to give it a review… why not read the description book to understand before I’m going to read it? Hello just in case you haven’t notice, description books can be tricky because they write this amazing things about a book but turns out the story is so toxic. Maybe for me its toxic but not for you? YES HELLO THATS WHY US HUMAN BEING HAVE OUR DIFFERENCES, WHAT I LIKE IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU WILL LIKE IT AND EITHER WAY TOO. why i still write the review then if i just don’t like a book? Because I CAN and i want to, you cannot tell me what to do and not what to do🤪 if you still wants to be negative and be karens about my review on book after all of what i just write, i will never acknowledge you and simply ignore you because its not that hard🙏 I won’t respond to negativity comments🙏🏼🙏🏼 DON’T ASK ME AGAIN ABOUT WHY NOT RESPONDING TO YOUR NEGATIVE COMMENTS BECAUSE I ALREADY SAY IT HERE AND I WON’T BE EXPLAINING AGAIN BECAUSE WE’RE NOT CHILDREN SO ITS NOT HARD FOR YOU AN ADULT TO UNDERSTAND😌😌 YES MY REVIEW IS LONG BUT YOU READ IT ANYWAY AND ITS FINE ACTUALLY I CAN WRITE AS LONG AS I LIKE😎 YES MY GRAMMAR IS BAD SOMETIMES AND MAYBE ALL THE TIME BUT LUCKILY MANY PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT I’M SAYING🤪 ⬅️↖️↕️⬅️↩️⤴️

If rage was the emotion you were looking for, this is the book for you.

These high school stories aren't my cup of tea. Don't know, why they show up in my recommendations. Like any learning experience. I'll give them a go!

You have a fallen popular girl, Remi. All due to her unfeeling father, back stabbing best friend, and dizzy mother.

Then you have Ace, a street wise hot head, and this brothers. Recently orphaned and now living with there uncle.

How do Remi and Ace meet. It just so happens that her mom and his uncle are dating. It's a whole thing. Ace decides to have a little fun with her. Then falls for her. Now his actions are a detriment to Remi.

Yes a standard bad boy meets good girl. It's the rage I felt reading every line. That's the reason for the 4 rating. I wasn't bored! That's all I'll say about that.

5 Stars! ★★★★★
What did I just read?! Ace. I have a love-hate relationship with this idiot. Did his fight with Bexley just kill Remi?! Holy Jesus this cliffhanger!!!

Loved it! This reminded me of the After series, but way better! I loved the slow build romance between Ace and Remi. Ace is so bossy, infuriating, handsome, thinks he’s always right...and I love it! Even if I wish he could control his anger a little bit better.

Remi. I loved her character. And I completely understand her falling for the bad boy despite all the neon sign warning lights screaming get away from Ace. Even his brothers warned her multiple times, that he might break her heart and ultimately he broke her beyond what my imagination could predict. Book 2, here I come!!!!

This is Ace and Remi's story and what a great story it was. I couldn't put it down. I wouldn't really consider it a true bully book, maybe more of a enemies to lovers. Still great none the less! It had more of a bully feel towards the end.

Ace is the typical bad boy - moody and broody, tattooed and pierced with a chip on his shoulder for pretty much the whole world besides his brothers. He wants to use Remi to get revenge on his uncle, but it ultimately backfires on him when he actually falls for the girl he just wants to use in his plan. My heart broke for Remi at the end. She was a good girl and didn't deserve to be treated that way. Remi is just what Ace's darkness needs. She is his light in the darkness.

The end was WOAH!! What a cliffhanger... Off to read book two!!

Taunt Her is Book # 1 of Caitlyn Dare’s Rebels Of Sterling Prep series. This is so much more than your typical high school bully romance/ Enemies to lovers plot.

There is a mystery underneath the male lead character’s revenge plot against the female lead character, Remi.

The story starts when the 3 brothers move to their uncle’s James house in Sterling Bay. They used to live in the wrong side of town in a trailer park with their mom, who just recently passed away.

Ace meets Remi and there is nothing but sparks and flirting galore. What an amazing bully romance story this was. I can’t wait for a book 2, Tame Him. It’s already in my TBR for this month. Can’t wait.

Disclaimer: I was offered an e-arc of the book In exchange for my honest opinion. This book was awesome 👏

This is a new author for me and since i love bully romances I absolutely had to get on this!

I enjoyed reading this! Ace is your bad boy from the wrong side of the track and Remi is your everyday good girl. These two are worlds apart but they cannot deny their attraction towards one another!

I loved how they came together and how their story played out. The steam and angst was explosive and i couldn’t get enough!

Overall the story was good and the ending lwft me wanting more!

4 stars and i would recommend this

So good!!

Worth it! This is right up there with the royal elite books for me. So addicting. Not really dark but a good bully romance with a good story line of a poor boy and a rich girl. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

''I see you, and I'm still here.''

Rebels At Sterling Prep Series started out with a bang with Taunt Her!

Ace Jagger and his brothers Connor and Cole live in the poor side of the town. Ace has been taking care of his youngers brothers all alone. That is, until his uncle makes them live with him. And his uncle in swimming in money. Ace is a bad boy through and through, and in order to survive he had to do some pretty doubtful things. He thinks of himself as a lost case, but he wants all the best for his brothers. And he'll do anything for them, for their better future.

Remi is a daughter of a woman who dates Ace's uncle. They were once ritch. But not anymore, not since Remi's father left to be with another family. Remi feels betrayed.

Ace and Remi can't stay away from each other, and where he's ice, she's all fire. She sees him, and even though she's warned by her mother and his uncle to stay away, she stands her ground and refuses to listen to them.

Ace is hardened by life and he genuinely does not care what others think of him or expect of him, he has unfinished bussiness with his uncle, and it's clouding his mind. He wants revenge and nothing and nobody will stand in his way. Nobody...!

I can't wait for Tame Him. I need answers.

Taunt Her ends in a way that'll leave you craving for more.

Fantastic bully read! Remi and Ace are everything I love in a bully romance. Remi’s not a complete pushover but still is the sunshine to his grumpy. While Ace is an unapologetic alpha hole bad boy.

The story is all about Ace and his brothers being roped into moving in with their uncle after their mom passes away. Ace isn’t happy about leaving his debauched life for a gilded cage and isn’t shy about it. Enter Remi their uncles fiancée’s little princess, Ace sees her as the perfect tool for his revenge against his uncle. Immediately sparks and tension fly between them.

Ace has the impression that Remi is just a stuck up little rich girl but that is quickly discarded as he gets to know her and see her feisty ways. Remi is the perfect balance of sweet and spice. The push and pull tension is real in this one! High level of steam is perfect and I’m anxiously awaiting book two after that ending.

The whole book you’re on the edge of your seat wondering if he will go through with his revenge plot. If you love a good girl/rich princess and bad boy trope with bully themes definitely pick this one up!

Ends in a cliffhanger for book two
TW:mentions of past abuse, attempted rape ( not between mc) drug use

“The Jaggers are in town now. You’ll learn your place.”

Taunt her is my first book by Caitlyn Dare and I was completely hooked by the blurb. It is your classic high school bully romance following Ace Jagger and his twin brothers Conner and Colt.

Having to live with their uncle in a world completely unknown to them, the elite better get ready for the Jaggers because they aren’t messing around.

Unfortunately for me, this story was missing something. Something to make it stand out from the rest of Bully romances. Remi also wasn’t as strong as I wanted her to be.

Overall, a classic story of bad boy and good girl colliding.

Can one please let me why it ended like that?!?
Definitely going to move on to the next in the series.
Ain’t going to lie, I definitely giggled at a few of these parts. I mean who wouldn’t when they have someone else reading a spicy scene to them. 😂🤭

What is the same

Ok a little different from what I have been reading. The one thing that is the same is there mystery of to come. Ace has a motive to get close to Remi, but it turns on him. He is falling for her.

A love story full of juicy angst rendered with a sexy, bad boy from across the tracks, Ace Jagger (cool name), and Remi, former school princess. The story follows Ace and his brothers' new arrival and stay with their uncle, now their guardian after a long period of no contact. Ace and Remi begin an unexpected love affair. The question is are Ace's intentions true or does he have a plan of revenge that includes Remi?

The storyline was engaging, some mean girl drama rather than bullying and portrayed two characters who on the surface were not well-matched, were in fact odds, but for their personal background had a lot in common. They embark on a romance. I liked the portrayal of the troubled hero, such a bad boy, so flippant to privileged society, taking on illicit jobs to care for his brothers. I liked the heroine's personality, a bit broken due her parents' split and childhood trauma, vulnerable but strong, forthright and honest in her intentions with this forsaken hero.

The pace was medium burn, enough for character traits to be realized and angst to pull at the heart strings. There were some defining side characters, particularly Remi's mother, step-sister, Ace's brothers, and uncle, but were rendered with a bit of caricature to them. Some more than others could have been better developed so that they came across as "full-bodied," so they could connect better to other characters, particularly the Ace's uncle and Remi's mother. This is not related to the roles they played rather their authenticity of character.

The story was told from the two main characters' points of view; their thoughts and feelings came across realistically. There was some definite chemistry and steaminess between the Ace and Remi, some unspoken feelings. I would characterize this story as coming of age, new adult vibe, mature themes.

Overall, great story if a tad predictable in plot. I do look forward to what the next book uncovers on this road to redemption.

I loved this book, it was just what I was looking for.

Bad boy Ace, the alphahole of the Heights. However underneath the surface, is really just a devastated 18 year old boy who is desperate to understand why he got this hand dealt to him. He trusts no one, cares for no one but his brothers. He's desperate to be loved, cared for and understood, but he doesn't know how to let his guard down, and with never having a parental figure to show him how to do things, he does them all wrong.

Remi, is lovable, sweet, kind and strong, but she has been outcasted due to her jealous stepsister. Remi has had a hard few years and it is no wonder why the bad boy of the heights and the princess of the bay find solace in one another. Her mother loves her fiercely but she is blinded by what she doesn't want to see and although her heart is in the right place, sometimes her actions are more than what her daughter was hoping for.

Cole, dark and mysterious with a past we all can't wait to find out about, however with this young man his actions speak much louder than his words.

Connor, the joker brother, he had me laughing out laud on a number of occasions, but still I wouldn't want to be on his bad side.

I wouldn't say that this story is something new and complex, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if you all guess a lot of the plots, however the chemistry between Ace and Remi is off the charts and if you love a bad boy and chemistry then this will not disappoint.

Holy mother of all evil cliff hangers. I can't tell you why I loved this book so much because I can't get over how it ended! Ugh!! But, I did love it.
.
.
MY REVIEW- Thank you to Candi Kane PR for gifting me a copy of this book. To be honest when I first started reading this book, I was thrown off by the writing style, and word choices. It was almost as if this book was written in a very amature-ish way. However, I quickly warmed up to it, and blew through it. I loved so much about this book, but my thoughts and feelings are still jumbled after that damn ending. Now, I need book two, because I need to find out what’s going on. I will add, that I love Remi and adore her as a character, and I love Ace. He is seriously an Alphahole. but there is something redeeming about him too.

“𝙄 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄’𝙢 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚.”

Dannngggg. My heart.
I knew I was in for a ride, but this is exactly what I needed. Nothing is as it seems, and the Devil is in the details.
There’s a clear divide between Ace & his long lost family member, & Remi isn’t swimming in a perfect home life either.
The two have a clear instant chemistry that leapt from the pages.
I can’t wait to get the conclusion of this one.
