Quite literally taking over by himself, Isaiah Thomas was absolutely magnificent in the fourth quarter and overtime period in Boston‘s 129-119 Game 2 victory over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday. Thomas finished the game with 53 points, 29 of which came in the fourth and overtime periods and he is a big reason why Boston has a 2-0 lead over Washington in their second-round series.

After the game, Thomas said he played like he did because of his sister, who tragically died in a car accident in April. Game 2 actually took place on what was supposed to be her 23rd birthday and this fueled Thomas' performance.

From SI's Ben Golliver:

An incredible performance by Thomas on such an emotional day.
