About the Author

Much like Martin Luther King, it all started with a dream. The rest one can say is history. If you have read Seraphina: The Awakening I feel like you already know me inside and out. I’ve worked on the Seraphina books for over a year before I decided to publish them for the world to see. Written from my own dreams and imagination with portions taken directly from my very own journal at times. The first book is literally derived from my own thoughts and tears. When I’m not working, you can find me at my local coffeehouse writing my next saga.

Stay tuned I’ve got plenty of stories left. I have a wild imagination and a way with words. Which makes for a very lethal combination!

This review is based on an ARC provided by the author and /or publisher via Xpresso Book Tours in exchange for an honest opinion.

I was charmed by this book from first page. This author needs a new editor. She also needs to check the flow of the pages, because fixed right this book would TOTALLY be a 5*. We are talking really flippin adorable, but scenes changed without warning and people disappeared that left a reader confused. Confused readers don't give 5*s LOL. And that is seriously a shame because this is an awesome read otherwise.

"Discovering April" readers asked me for more -- here it is. Although, April is not a main character in this novel, she does make an appearance. This book takes place two years after "Discovering April."

This novel centers around the mysterious Officer Smith from Discovering April. I just felt like there was more to his story. Find out all about this handsome officer in Uncovering Officer Smith.

"His eyes speak to my soul. I lose control when I raise my head and see him; it's as though I cant breathe."
Received an E-Arc for an honest review.

This is the first book that I've ever read by Sheena. This brings the captivating officer John Smith into the picture. For all of you who have read Discovering April and craved more of this mysterious cop, nows your chance to get your fill. After reading this story, it makes me want to pick up Discovering April to learn more about what made Smithy who he is in this story and we do some uncovering... oh yes we do!!

Becca comes from a rich family, but does things on her own. Going to college on a full scholarship and is solely focused on school. She doesn't let parties or even drop dead gorgeous guys get in her way. Her roommate Meggie is the complete opposite. Going to parties and bringing home different men almost every night. And that's how Becca gets her social fill.
John Smith (come on!) is a police officer for Angelica NY police department by day and a bouncer at The Bar by night. With the occasional knight in shinning armour. Oh! Let me not forget the best part.... The bachelor womanizer who is with a different woman every night. Best friend, Bedford (also Beccas brother... hold for gasps) helps him pick up more ladies.
Meggie drags Becca out to the bar and as soon as they walk through the door, Becca is left alone. She's approached by two guys and they hit it off. Smithy is manning the door that night and cant keep his eyes off of Becca.
After Becca accepts the drink from those two guys, she starts to feel woozy and blacks out. As those guys are dragging her out the back door, John comes and saves the day and takes her to the hospital. When Becca wakes shes startled by not realizing where she is. John saved the day and promised to let her know if they catch those bastards who drugged her.
They part ways and don't think anything of each other until.... Ford throws a party that they are both invited to.
Walking into the party, Becca wants to go back to studying. Ford introduces her to his friend and what the hell do you know? They meet again. Smithy with his eyes that make her knees weak.
Beer pong leads to staying the night and Becca and Smithy wind up sleeping together. Not that.... yet.
Smithy is not one to be in a commited relationship and Ford threatens John about staying away from his sister or else.
But forbidden fruit always tastes the greatest.
Becca is changing John and for the better. He doesn't even look at another girl after he met her. And their crazy hookups turn into meaningful romance.
Ford finds out and forbids John from ever seeing Becca. John cuts ties with Becca that destroys her. She loses focus in school and goes out partying every night which scares her best friend and next dorm neighbor. Which goes from booze to drugs in an instant.
John and Becca think about one another constantly, but Becca is still clueless about the threats.
What will be Beccas last straw?

I didn't think that I was going to enjoy this as much as I did. Certain situations made me gasp and left me shocked. Love can be a devious mistress and can tear two people apart. You will be drawn in from page one and the going back and fourth between Becca and John with each chapter makes you tear through this story to find out what the perspective. It's way different then what I'm used to reading, but I really enjoyed this and look forward to reading more by this author.

This book moved along at a perfect pace for reading, not to fast nor to slow. The story will grab you and not let go until the very last page is read and you will have no choice but to fall in love with these characters. I was hooked on this story from the moment that I read the first words. There is no doubt that this book needs to be on your TBR list.

This book has Officer John Smith from Finding April. I loved Finding April, and Uncovering Officer Smith was fantastic. This installment is edgier, sexier, and less life and death situations. I loved Sheena's writing. This book is a must read! Five glittery stars!

5 Stars

Officer John Smith is a confirmed bachelor. He has no intentions of being with any woman for more than a night. As a supplement to his police officer pay he works at club as a bouncer. Becca is at college and has no time for men as she is studying hard towards her life goal to become a lawyer and nothing is going to get in the way of this.

Becca’s roommate Meggie has asked Becca to come with her to the club as her wing person when she meets her new date, Meggie wants her there in case something goes wrong and Becca is not going to say no to her best friend. The girls arrive at the club and notice John at the door; they refer to him as Mr. McHottie. John goes inside and scans the bar and knows Becca is different from the other girls as he has never seen her go home with anyone. That is why later in the evening he knows something is wrong when he sees two men carrying her out. One of these low lives has drugged her drink and she has no clue what is happening. Rushing over to the tree of them he demands that they let het go and they refuse until they see his police badge. John yells out to his mates to cover for him while he rushes Becca to the hospital knowing it will be quicker to drive her there than wait for an ambulance.

When Becca is released John takes her to his house to watch over her since he has no clue where she lives. This night changes their lives forever. When Becca's brother sees Becca leaving Johns apartment he gets furious and punches John telling him to stay away from her. Doing as he is asked John ignores messages and phone calls from Becca, breaking his heart each time he does this. With John ignoring her and not knowing why Becca’s life spirals out of control, she starts ditching classes and gets involved in the party and drug scene. One night Becca goes too far and she over doses and John is fearful of what she is doing to herself.

Beddy Becca’s brother finally knows he has made a mistake and goes to tell John if he wants to stop Becca leaving he has to go now. John leaves his apartment asking Beddy to lock up for him. Arriving at Becca’s dorm he sees her and Meggie loading stuff into a moving van. John tells Becca he loves her but she is not interested and tells him goodbye. Devastated he goes back to his apartment and wishes he had handled things differently.

Is this the end for Becca and John or will their love for each other be strong enough to bring them back to each other?

I received an ARC of this book in return for my honest opinion.

Uncovering Officer Smith is everything I could have ever asked for and so much more. I am really blown away with the direction the series took and I am beyond happy with the result. After I read book #1 Discovering April, I was so head over heals in love the with characters and Ms Hutchinson. I was one of the, I can only imagine TONS, fans that begged for more. Although I would not have changes a single moment in Book #1 I was left hungry and craving more. I was crushed when I was told it was a stand alone. I can't tell you the excitement that overcome me when I heard the news that their would be an additional 2 books.

This is Book #2 in the series. I feel that is could easily be a stand alone read with out problem. The characters in Book #1 do make a few appearances in book #2 but you could follow the book and plot with easy with out with out the knowledge obtained in book #1. With that said, Discovering April (Book #1) is one of my all time favorite books and I would HIGHLY recommend that you read it and plan to read both books in order just to get the full effect.

In this book you get a deeper insight into Officer Smith. Heart broken, he keeps up his stereotypical bachelor ways. A different brunette woman every night is not anything that is new to him. That is until yet another blonde crashes into his life. He finds himself struggling with his inner demons, insecurities, and overall denial of human emotions all while trying to stay loyal to his life long best friend. She is a smart, witty, and rather innocent college girl. Never being good enough in her families eyes she has not issue fading into the background. A few bad decisions turns her life upside down. Will they be able to find happiness? A true balance in life? Will relationships be broken?

This story has it all. It was constantly on a rollercoaster of emotion and was never really 100% sure which direction that is would end. I highly recommend this book as well as book #1 in the series to all those who believe in HOPE! Thank you Ms Hutchinson for another AMAZING read!

This was the first book I've read, by Sheena Hutchinson. I was attracted to the book, both y the enticing cover and the excellent blurb. I liked that it was set to be a ver thrilling read, but with a good bit of unexpected love. I was supposed to find it also had a splash of humour. This was done just right, as it made the mains a bit snarky, but didn't overdo it and ruin the thriller aspect.

The snark, I felt really matched the blurb. It gave off the unwanted attraction and love sense. You really felt as though they didn't want to even try to be together, which then made it funnier because the more grief they gave, the more they fell.

I thought the characters were good. They had a decent amount of depth and character. I would have liked to have seen more development along the way, to truly round out the characters, but I am hoping there will be more to follow, and we will get a glimpse at these two and how they are.

The pace was brilliant. It was steady, with moment of swift worry and chase, which added to the feel of the genre. I liked that the romantic moments had an odd way of feeling as though they were passing through quickly, but the detail gave us a feel that we were having an opportunity to linger, in the moment. Opposites, I know, but trust me it works.

Overall, I was impressed with this book and this author. I look forward to keeping up with this author, in future.m

By day a cop, by night a bouncer, John Smith works hard but also plays hard – at least in bed. 1 night stands are his default. Brunettes preferred.

Until he encounters a Blonde.

A Blonde who brings out his protective instincts and changes his mind about what colour hair he prefers.

And he has some disappearances – potentially murders – to solve too.

Ok. So far so good.

Now I have a question I must ask all Americans. Why do American men wear white t-shirts under their ordinary shorts? Is it a vest in reality? And why wear a vest anyway? UK men certainly don’t. don’t they get hot? Please explain.

Back to the book.

Another question – do universities in the US still really use blackboards and chalk? Why? We threw them out of UK universities around 15-20 years ago… even schools rarely use them.

So the book. Yes this is supposed to be a review of the book.

Well I was disappointed we didn’t solve the presumed murders in this book – or even start exploring them.

We did solve a drug problem but incredibly slowly.

So the book concentrated on romance and I really only finished it out of obligation and because I was awake all night. It didn’t really grip me. It was OK but I have read better. The story was slow and could have been better developed. I found the characters rather shallow in their development and characterization.

I received this free book in exchange for an honest review

3 stars just.

Conflicted

Can you like a story but don't really like the characters? I didn't get him at all. He has been crushed by April in the first book? In the first book he only talked to her like three times. Weird!! I think they make the worst couple. I think even throughout all this he will leave her again because he is weird. And her, she goes through all that with him and what he did to her and at the end it's all forgiven? She had to see a shrink. They where like oil and water together. If he leaves again I think she would kill herself. Also I like the characters from the first book but hated how things were left between them in this book. April acts like she doesn't care for her husband anymore. And then she thinking about aborting wtf. What a biatch. And what was all that about Tom? I thought he was going to be the drug dealer or a psycho. He was just nothing. I gave this book 4 💫 because I couldn't put it down.

When I first started reading Uncovering Officer Smith, my first thought was "oh no, not another boring mystery/thriller" However, I assure you that was not the case in this book. Sheena Hutchinson brought romance, laughter and lots of heartache. I loved reading the characters, I think Smith was well executed. Becca was stubborn but so was John. I think out of them all John was my favorite character. I loved Becca's brother, Bedford as well and wouldnt mind reading his story. I felt like there were moments were I needed more from the characters, however, Sheena Hutchinson didn't disappoint, she kept me in a trance and I loved every minute of reading this book. I think I will have to go back and read April's story tho. I feel like there is more there that I need to know. Def a book to just sit back, relax and enjoy.

This is my first book by Sheena Hutchinson and I can honestly say that it won't be my last. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The storyline is one that will grab you and not let go. The characters are ones that will make you want to smack them but at the same time you will love them. You will feel invested in these characters and what they are going through and you heart will go to your throat. My chest was literally aching while reading this book. I loved the mysterious side of this story on trying to figure out who is the culprit and if John will be able to figure it out.

I really think that this is a book to check out. I have not read the first book in this series and I didn't feel lost one bit. I do want to go back and get April's story but I didn't need to read it in order to enjoy this book.

Loved this story! It is one of those books that doesn't have any highs or lows, you are immediately drawn into the story and the words keep their hold on you until the very end. John Smith is hot and keeps his relationships to one night only and oh yeah, NO BLONDES, all because of one blonde who left his heart in pieces. This plan has been working for him just fine until Becca crosses his path. She is a lot of things and number one on that list is blonde, so John instantly puts her on the no hit on list. Becca has plans of her own and they do not include one night stands. When these two keep getting thrown together, fate seems to be playing a joke on both of them. Really strong characters and settings.

Uncovering Officer Smith (The Discovering Trilogy Book 2) by Sheena Hutchinson is the second book in The Discovering Trilogy. This story is mystery, suspense and romance. This story can be a stand alone but it has some of the same characters from the first book, Discovering April. These characters once again will pull at your heart strings and leave you wanting for more. Find out what happens when plans and rules go out the window!

Officer John Smith has been hurt in the past by a blonde woman. She ripped his heart out and he vowed he would never feel that way again and differently no blondes. He now is a love a love and leave em type guy, protecting his heart. He now has two rules, one no blondes and two only one night stands. What will happen when his path crosses with another blonde? What will happen when she becomes one of the victims? Is there a connection between them? Will she make him break his rules?

Becca Swanson is a twenty-one year old woman who has a plan for her life. Her plan consists of college, law school and rule the world. She is determined that nothing and no one will get in her way. What will happen when she wakes up in a strangers bedroom with no memory of what happened? What will happen when she meets him? Will she feel a connection? What will happen when she faces reality with her problems?

Becca and John's story is one of heartbreak and challenges. Will life stand in their way? What does fate have in store for them? Is he bad for her? What will happen when her brother interferes with them? Will he be able to protect her? Will he break his rules for her and will she change her plans for him?

This is my first story by Sheena Hutchinson. Sheena was born and raised in New York and her writing still reflect that hard sarcasm. She says that destiny has lead her back to her true passion of writing. She constantly strives to be a positive role model and writes stories that empower and inspire. This story is a page turner that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat one minute and asking the characters what they are doing in the next. I highly suggest this story as I know you will enjoy it as much as I have.

Uncovering Officer Smith - Sheena Hutchinson The Discovering Trilogy Book 2 - 4 Stars
This is book 2 in the Discovering Trilogy and can absolutely be read as a standalone. It’s classified as a New Adult – Coming of Age Story and that it truly is. We get to watch Becca grow.
We first met Officer John Smith in Discovering April. He was a minor character in the book but there was this weird connection that I felt as a reader to him. Discovering April was not my favorite book so I’m glad I stuck with the series to get to know more about Officer Smith. While John Smith may have a simple name, he is a complex guy: “He has developed two rules: Never more than one night and never a blonde.”
Becca is a college student who is her roommate/best friend’s wing man. Meg is a girl who likes to go out and have a good time and Becca is always there to support her and make sure she’s safe. Becca is secure in her position as wing man and isn’t afraid to dance and enjoy her time alone. Becca is a serious student who has life goals and her plan is laid out as to how she will get there.
Becca and John meet and she turns into more than a one night stand. He has broken his rules. This story surrounds their relationship. In addition to his regular police duties, Officer Smith is trying to solve a mystery which ties book 1 and 2 together.
The dedication of this book is: This book is dedicated to those battling addiction or depression. There is always light at the end of the tunnel, never give up. Things have a way of working out in the end, if it hasn’t worked out – it is not the end. I would like to add: If you feel like you are powerless over alcohol and/or drugs, there IS a solution. We DO recover. Please talk to someone because you are NOT alone. You ARE worthy of more. IT DOES GET BETTER!

Uncovering Officer Smith by Sheena Hutchinson is the second book in the Discovering Trilogy. It can be read as a standalone book but it does have some characters that overlap in the books. I personally would read them in order but I always like things in the proper order!
John Smith is a police officer with the Angelica Police Department by day and a bouncer at a busy local bar at night. John was hurt in the past by a mysterious blonde which led him to making two rules for himself: Never more than one night and never a blonde. This playboy lifestyle seems to be working very well for him. That is until Becca Swanson enters his life by a chance encounter one night while he is working at the bar.
Becca is a college student at North Commons University who has had her whole life planned out for many years. She wants nothing more than to get through school with fantastic grades and become a successful lawyer. That is until the night Becca is drugged and John saves her from two strangers who have nothing but bad intentions. John is instantly drawn in by Becca. He tells himself that it is a bad idea to get involved. He is breaking his own rules. . . she’s smart, sexy, funny, and blonde! Plus he isn’t good enough for someone like Becca. But something about Becca makes him break the rules. Will these two be able to make it work or will John go back to his playboy ways and leave Becca crushed? Will John be able to find out who drugged Becca that first night at the bar?
This book sucks you in from the very beginning and it was very hard to put down. I honestly cannot wait for the next book in this series! I have found another author to put on my “must read” list!

At first I was skeptical of this book not really sure if I wanted to read it... not sure why but something about it caught my eye, kept running into it per say...so I clicked that purchase button with out reading the short description and was sucked right into it.

I was very wary about it but I’m glad I read it, it hit close to home and it made me want to reach out for Becca. Be there for her.

Tells you just how good this book was written. I’ll be reading the first book of April and the other book about Sera which I noticed overlap each other.

Amazing and so heart reaching good!

Uncovering Officer Smith is my first book by Sheena Hutchinson, and probably my last. This story is well-written, but it is written in first person, alternating point of view format, wich I hate. The characters were a little bland, except for sidekick Meggie, Meggie's personality shined. This story is about Becca, a 4.0 gpa collage student and John, a cop that moonlights as a bouncer. There's lots of drugs, drinking, sex and over the top angst in this story. Maybe I'm too old for this book, I had to force myself to finish it. I think young adults will maybe appreciate it more than this old woman.

Received for review.
I adore this story, Becca and John had my heart broken with their story. The struggles they go through and the friends and family they bring had me enraptured. Meggie is a force to be reckoned with, I love her. The friendship between Meggie and Becca is so cute, and I love the banter between the two of them. This is a great story and I knew reading discovering April I would love John Smith and I love the look at old characters we get. Sheena Hutchinson has done it again with a fabulous story with a gripping, heart wrenching plot and loveable, relatable characters 😊

John Smith has had his heart broken by a leggy blonde and has sworn off women because of it. Enter Becca Swanson, a nerdy conservative girl whose life plan is to study law and take on the world. Their two paths cross and suddenly John isn’t so sure he should stay away from women any longer. This sequel to Discovering April is mysterious and romantic and completely satisfying.

Ups and downs

I'm a bit torn about this book. It's somewhere between a young adult college frat party type and a young working professional romance. There are a lot of ups and downs in the romance. Mostly downs. A bit too depressing for me. I prefer more light hearted romances.

Uncovering Officer Smith by Sheena Hutchinson
4 stars

Rebecca aka Becca is known as a book nerd at North Commons. After her high school boyfriend hurt her she closed herself off from socializing and makes no time for sports, boys or other distractions. Her best friend and roommate Meggie is the opposite personality and loves to let loose, drink, bring home new guys and tries to get Becca to have fun and have casual hookups.

John is a police officer and a bouncer (aka Bouncer McHot Pants) at The Avenue Bar on his off hours. He has given up on relationships after April the beautiful blonde destroyed him. He has sworn off blondes and repeat hookups. The girls he hooks up with act like they don’t know what they are getting into. They flock around him and want to be the one to change him. He can’t be tamed.

Megs gets Becca to go out for some drinking and dancing. While they are out finally letting loose and having some fun things take a turn for Becca.

“I feel good. Better than good; I feel like I can fly. I have not a care in the world. There is no such thing as school in this moment. No desire to control everything. This is me; finally free. The music is all color, all around me. It pulsates through my body, pulling me deeper and deeper into dancing. When I glance up again, teal eyes meet mine. Perfect almond shaped eyes are the only solitary things as the rest of the room blurs around me. I’m excited. My heart is beating out of my chest until I suddenly don’t feel so well.”

Becca is like the rest of the girls John has hooked up with. She thinks once he finds the right woman he will want passion and commitment over a casual hookup and one night stand. They have chemistry, but he won't let his guard down again and repeat his past. As much as he tries to stay away from her he keeps putting a claimon her when other guys are around. He wants to protect her, but is trying to keep his distance at the same time.

“As I stare at this girl with her sparkling blue eyes and that mess of blonde hair atop her head, I realize there is so much more to her than I would have ever thought possible. Becca Swanson is either saying just the right thing all the time, or she is the perfect girl for me. I don’t know which one scares me more.”

Will Becca be able to tame the biggest player? Once the chase is over will John still want to stick around? Can they get past their previous heartbreaks without holding back with each other? Will history repeat itself or is there truly something special happening with Becca and John?

Uncovering Officer Smith was a simple entertaining read that I could not put down. I read it in just a few hours because I was so riveted by it. I felt that it set out to be a simply well done romance story, but somewhere along the way it transformed into a suspenseful story about two people and their hesitations. These are two strong people, stuck so much in their heads and what they think they want in life so when realization hits them, I just laughed. It’s always fun to watch people, or characters, finally get their ah-ha moment.

Officer John Smith is your typical hot cop. I mean, a hot guy in a uniform, of course he is going to play all options. This works for him as he tries to forget about the one that got away. As Sheena Hutchinson said, the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. The complete opposite could be said for Becca, she just wants to focus on school and making something of herself on her own. Having a less than perfect family is the catalyst to push her harder than she should be pushed so it is no wonder she finally cracks. It happens to the best of us. The problem is that their paths cross way too often for them to keep to themselves.

This is a four star read for me because it had everything I could want in a book. I escaped my reality and watched two people fight themselves, each other and the world only to realize that they need each other. Sheena Hutchinson has an ability to make writing seem effortless. I never struggled to follow along or believe the situation put in front of me, it seemed plausible to me at least. Though there is serious topic at the heart of this story it never came across as too much. It juggled the serious with the lightness of two people falling for each other, and that is why I loved this book.

Uncovering Officer Smith is the second book in the Discovering Trilogy by Sheena Hutchinson. You could get away with reading this as a standalone but I would recommend reading the first book Discovering April first as the main characters in this book, Officer John Smith, is first introduced in that story. I have read book 1 and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this second book – I really liked Officer Smith in the first story so was very excited that he was getting his own book! If you have read book 1 and liked him then oh my gosh you are going to LOVE him in this book.
I have to say I absolutely love the front cover of this book and it is exactly how I imagined John to look in the story. As soon as I started this story I was completely hooked into the storyline. I loved both of the characters and desperately wanted them (especially John) to find their happily ever after! I really liked Becca’s character and I think it was because she had the potential to be a typical college student so it was refreshing when she turned out to be something different. I thought her character grew a lot over the story – even if she did make some stupid decisions.
What can I say about Officer John Smith – I actually think Officer McDreamy is the perfect name for him! I do have a soft spot for alpha males who have an authoritative job but I think John is by far my favourite so far!
This is the second book that I have read by this author and I am just totally in love with her writing. She takes such sensitive issues and approaches them well – they really are written about beautifully. She creates characters that you can’t help but fall in love with and her descriptive writing is just out of this world. There were some great twists and turns in this story and some I definitely wasn’t expecting. I think the ending to this book has to be one of the best endings I’ve read in a while – I loved it! Another thing I liked about this story was that it was written from both characters POV and this definitely added something extra to the story because you could see what was happening from both sides, sympathise with both of them at the same time as wanting to shout at them!!
I cannot express how much I loved this book – I’m definitely going to go back and read it again!!

Uncovering Officer Smith by Sheena Hutchinson is the second book of a series. It can be read separately from the first book but does have reoccurring characters. This book is a five star read for me. This book was wonderful and evoked so many feelings. Rebecca Swanson is going to college living her version of life when she meets Officer John Smith after he saved her from an unfortunate circumstance. Becca is sure she doesn't want to get involved with John because she knows his type - the playboy. John knows he doesn't want to get attached so he knows what he needs to do - stay away from Becca.

Rebecca Swanson is the quiet type. She keeps to herself, keeps her head down, and submerged herself in her school work. She reluctantly agrees to go out with her best friend and a string of events leads her to finally talking to the hot bouncer. She knows she should stay away from him. She is sure nothing good will come from it but she can't help herself. She knows there's a connection there. They spend a few great months together and everything goes downhill from there.

"I can’t seem to believe that the hot bouncer I’ve fantasized about for months is actually with me, touching me, kissing me. I push him against the wall, bringing us even closer. His hands explore and I need his touch, crave it. I want them all over me."

John Smith just wants to protect Becca but knows he should stay away from her for more than one reason. He doesn't do attachments, sleeping with women and then letting them go. Until Becca, he can't get her off his mind. Finally he gives in. Then he has to make a choice. He makes the wrong one and they both pay for it. John just doesn't realize how much until later. He ignores all the feelings he has for Becca believing it's for the best.

"As I stare at this girl with her sparkling blue eyes and that mess of blonde hair atop her head, I realize there is so much more to her than I would have ever thought possible. Becca Swanson is either saying just the right thing all the time, or she is the perfect girl for me. I don’t know which one scares me more."

This book is written in dual POV expressing both characters thoughts and feelings. You get a feel for the consequences of some actions. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it especially if you've read the first book.
