I didn’t like the MCs. I understand the heroine’s behavior and appreciate she didn’t give in easily, but it was still frustrating. And the hero is a moron willfully blind to the manipulations of his ex-gf that he tries hooking up with again shortly after dumping his pregnant girlfriend.

If this book were based in reality, I don’t think a HEA would be possible.

The butterfly effect.
It is said that a flutter of a butterfly can cause hurricanes and earthquakes on the other side of the world.
Someone told me it takes two seconds to do something wrong but it might not be enough a lifetime to repair the damage it causes.
This book is an example of this.
The hero didn't exactly flutter because he more banged the heroine with a heavy stick as soon as she told him she was pregnant, kicking her out of his life with ugly words and telling her she was a gold-digging ho.
I read many readers saying how bitchy was the heroine through all the book, but I couldn't agree.
How's the saying, when the going gets tough, the tough get going?
Here's where the man shows his true colors, that is he's a lame coward. A selfish narcissist, an veery veery dumb.
If he hadn't many of his friends and relatives telling him he was making a big huge mistake, and the heroine wasn't at all a gold-digger and he had to apologize, if he hadn't many people telling him he's in love with her, well, he would never have gone back to her.
He left her alone for weeks, never asking how she was, never asking himself if he could be wrong, and he also tried to move on with evil ow.
Thank god his lil man down there is smarter than him and can't even function near ow (which reminds me of many Lynne graham heroes...), so he's not able to perform with ow, but he tried, so no, in my opinion, his behavior to the heroine was not the one a man in love would have.
He starts feeling guilty because everybody tells him what a a**hole he's but I can't say I felt so much love as guilt in his behavior, and this is in all the book.
After he tries to make things better and the heroine, thank god, sends him away- repeatedly- the book becomes a big bad drama, a tragedy where all worst things happen and you can't stop crying until you wonder if -really- isn't it too much drama?
The hero's behavior was one of a guilty man, one who tries to make amend.
I would have preferred if he went to the heroine because he couldn't stay away from her, not because she was pregnant with his child.
Even after the accident, he tried to help, but eventually he gave up on her.
Nope, this hero is a loser, not a man in love.
He tried to move on the second time again, and again he couldn't because he wasn't attracted not because he didn't want it.
True love never gives up, never leaves and stay alive even when the other person doesn't reciprocate.
The book was good, I appreciated the psychotherapy part because it was realistic but something was missing.
The hero didn't make one mistake. He made a choice.
One mistake is when I realize I missed my hair appointment because I thought it was friday instead of wednesday.
This man made conscious choices and his choices had terrible consequences for other people lives.
The heroine was right not to trust him.
I wouldn't want a man like that by my side. He was only feeling guilty because he was wrong.
Not because he loved her IMO.
Oh, and he was so concerned about his reputation when it was revealed that he left his pregnant girlfriend and she had to work two jobs to keep herself.
Some true love it is.
From the mouth of his bf: Thank god you have an amazing arm because sometimes you're really stupid.
This basically sums up the hero.

This is hard for me.
Huhhh...
There are a couple of things that don't work for me in books. I actually try to stay away from certain kinds of books.
Because, they are are just not my cup of tea.
And.... They are...
-Love triangles
I just hate it when the guy I like is not the one!
-When a main character dies.
Sometimes it feel like a cop out.
-Miscarriages
I just hate it.

Now... there is always an exception to the situations I just listed.
It's how the story is played out. What are the circumstances in which these incidents played out. That makes a big difference for me.

Unfortunately. This book did not meet my criteria.
I was shocked and upset with how the 1st book ended. I really wanted to know how Tanner was going to get himself out of the mess he put himself in.
So, I went into this book with a open mind ready to forgive Tanner.

I thought going into this book Tanner would be able to redeem himself. He didn't in my book. And it was a little bit of it being too little to late for me.
Ashley's best friend Quinn I felt wasn't a very good friend either.
Yes, She helped Ashley through the biggest and most worst situation a person will ever have to go through. But asking for help from the very person she hates in the world! Come on! She broke the best friend code in my book.

Tanner was pretty horrible in the beginning of this book. Ashley I felt did a pretty good job protecting herself and the baby. She was sad about Tanner. More hurt than anything. But, she knew what she had to do to take care of her baby.

I was not feeling the whole bathroom scene at all. And my respect for Ashley went down a notch. Sex doesn't always have to be the answer. And the fact that she let it down so fast so that she can get off... I hated that.
Ughhhh....
How could she want him to touch her. Especially since he's been saying nothing but he most hateful things to her and about her for he first 14% of the book!!
Then the BIG shocker that happens to Ashley. I would never go back. Never! To much was said and done for everything to be ok.
Life would have been way different if Tanner never acted or reacted the way he did.
I was getting more and more angrier at Ashley's best friend Quinn. Her best friend needed her to be on her side. Not go behind her back. And invite Tanner over every chance she got.
It just wasn't right at all.
The way she talked to her too. Was just so uncalled for.
Chapter 31....
Oh man... I don't want to give a lot away...
I wish things would have been different. I wish they would have stayed friends. Instead of how they ended.
All I can say is that... I wish more time would have past before they got this kind of ending.
It was really unbelievable that she can switch her feelings so fast.
Overall... This book just wasn't for me.

4-4.5 Stars....

OK, I am so glad that I did get this story, I had to!!!!!! I contemplated on not reading it because I had some issues with the first book but I just had to know what happened and yet, I was petrified in the same breath to see how this was all gonna play out! I am so glad I did because I enjoyed this book better than the first. Tanner, oh, Tanner after the 14% mark did he ever grow on me.... OMG, I LOVED him in this book:) I still of course, LOVED Alex (even more so) and yep, I actually fell for Quinn in this book too! I loved her in this book, she was what Ashley needed and also Tanner as well. She proved to be a great friend in this book to both Tanner and Ashley:)

Now Ashley, ughhhh, she was so annoying for MOST of the book for me, and unfortunately, if it were not for Tanner finally redeeming himself (early on thank goodness), I may not have finished, she was THAT annoying. It was too over the top for me and I wished that Ashely had "seen the light" a lot sooner than she did. Yes, what she went through at first was heartbreaking and yes, I got it BUT her behavior went way overboard for me from ok, I get it to OMG, I wanted to slap her silly, I just couldn't take it but thank goodness she came around, albeit so late in the story, but glad it finally happened!

This story was quick and had twists I didn't see coming and of course twists that I wished hadn't happened but I get it "added" to the story and I can't stress enough how much I LOVED Tanner in this book, he really redeemed himself with me and proved what a great guy he really was underneath his douchebaggery in the first book, lol!

I am so glad that I did read this sequel and I look forward to reading more about them all, I hope, wink, wink.... I would love a story on Alex and Ashley:)

I need more than 5 stars to rate this book!
I'm an emotional wreck right now and can't put into words all that I'm feeling...
"Amazing" doesn't even begin to describe this huge turn Ashley and Tanner's story has just took.
I've cried my eyes out all through this reading and my heart broke to little pieces. Every little thing I'll write in here will be a massive spoiler to the emotinal ride I've just experienced...
You just have to read it, that's all I can say! Grab a tissue bag (or a hundred) and READ IT!!!!!
Kimberly, perfect job!

If you like a good grovel this book is for you. There’s a lot of angst but FINALLY a they get it together. This is what happens after the H called the fmc a gold digging whore after she told him she was pregnant on the cliffhanger ending of book 1. She stays mad at him for most of the book…she is grieving for the loss of a child for part of the book so I disagree with the reviews that say she’s a bitch.

description

What I Loved: It’s been awhile since a book has blown me away and this one totally did. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this ARC and when I was did I was practically drawling to begin reading it. Once again Kimberly Bracco managed to suck in immediately. I couldn’t put this story down, and of course began it and finished it in a little over 24 hours.

I couldn’t wait to find out how Tanner was going to crawl his way out of the ginormous hole he made for himself and I will just say I was not disappointed in the least. Once again the heat between Tanner and Ashley is palpable even if its pure hatred between these two it still burns the pages.

I thought I knew where this story was going to go but of course the plot took a HUGE left turn in a direction I never would’ve guessed and I loved every minute of it. I crave books that put me through the ringer, that can bring tears to my eyes at points and then put big goofy smiles on my face the next second. This story definitely brought more tears then smiles at certain points and totally broke my heart at others but still just a wonderful story.

Not So Much: This was such an emotional story and I loved every minute of it, and I get that this is a continuation of a story rather than a standalone but I felt that things could’ve been elaborated a little bit more from the first book. There wasn’t a ton of description of Tanner or Ashley’s looks as well as Quinn and Alex, I understand that was talked about in Inhibitions but to touch base a little would’ve been nice. A reader could read these two books months apart and forget what town the story takes place what the characters look like, and what their homes look like. I’m not saying to go into as much details as Inhibitions but just add a paragraph in there, that’s all. But I read an ARC so those little details might be there in the final print.

Unrestricted by Kimberly Bracco is the second book in the Uninhibited Series; picking up right at the cliff hanger that I never saw coming from book one Uninhibited. The reader is bombarded with so many emotions while reading the continuation of Ashley and Tanner's story that you almost don't know which character you want to throw your support behind. You will laugh, you will cry (more than once I am sure) and you will smile at this amazing story that Kimberly Bracco has created. I fell in love with the first book and could not wait until the second one came out, staying up well into the early hours of the morning because I knew I had to finish it all in one sitting. This is a 4.5 star read for me and I suggest that you drop everything and one-click these books immediately.

The reader was left with Ashley discovering that she was pregnant at the end of Uninhibited and Tanner, drawing coincidences from his past, accusing her of allowing it to happen on purpose because he is a famous football player. Alone, pregnant, and not knowing how she will deal with everything on her own, but knowing that her baby is all that matters, Ashley begins to plan for the future, a future without Tanner; which continues to break her heart.

Tanner cannot believe that Ashley did not seek medical advice when her birth control patch fell off and used information from the internet instead, which in turn possibly lead to her becoming pregnant. Thinking that this was his past all over again, Tanner does the only thing he knows how to do, push Ashley away and pretend that he doesn't think about her or miss her everyday, holding onto the anger that he has for the situation. It is only when he goes to his parents for advice that he begins to realize what an asshole he was being and knows that he needs to have Ashley and his baby in his life, but is he too late??

1. This book was not what I expected but it was still good.

2. I didn't expect that their son would die. It sucks but Ashley was a complete asshole to Tanner. Like, I understand that he was a total shit to her by the end of the first book but he TRIED to make amends countless time but she still didn't accept him. Then he blamed Tanner for the death of their son. Like oh my fuck, how can she me so selfish?? I'm just glad that Quinn got some sense into her when she slapped Ashley because Ash did not understand that she was not the only one who lost a son.

3. The scene where Tanner was holding Daniel's body? That scene tore me apart. It broke my heart that he blamed himself.

4. I can't believe a huge scandal was what made them finally get together but at least it happened. In the end where Tanner said goodbye, all I could think about was how much Ashley sucks. Tanner did every fucking thing and suffered through Daniel's death and dealt with her shit and this is how she repays him. Then when Tanner talked about trust, I died. But anyways, at least they're together now.

I loved the first book !! I Loved Tanner & Ashley story !! It was great to see the development of their relationship ... It was romantic, passionate and the sex was SO HOT !!! But In the end of the first book I was so mad about Tanner I wanted him to suffer for what he did !! How dumb can you be ??? So I was glad that Ashley was strong and did not forgive him and made him feel sorry and ask for forgiveness again ...and again...and again... and again !!!!! OMG It was exhausting !! I did not like that Ashley has become a crybaby bitch and really annoying I preferred her strong !! But I forgive her because she really went through a lot of suffering ... Overall, I enjoyed to read this book ... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars !!!

I was lucky enough to win both Inhibitions and Unrestricted from the author in a giveaway that she was holding. Here is my honest review:

After the way things ended in the last book, I had to know what would happen next. Unrestricted is the follow up to Inhibitions. This book took me on such an emotional journey. It was a roller-coaster ride of emotions. I loved every second of Ashley and Tanner's story. They had so many obstacles to overcome and I couldn't wait to see how it all would play out. Kimberly Bracco is a new new author for me and I'm looking forward to reading more from her in the future.

Am i the only one who thought Quinn was a shitty best friend? Especially during Ashley's pregnancy and then in the hospital. I was enraged on the hs behalf. Especially when she told her that she needed to move on and when we find out she signed the paperwork naming the H as the dad. I felt like Quinn just wanted her to forgive the H so that it was easier on her relationship.

After the ending from Inhibitions, I was eager to find out how Tanner and Ashley's story would end in Unrestricted. Tanner had some major groveling in store for him and Ashley wasn't going to go easy on him, that much I could foresee. I also knew that Melissa was going to be around to cause trouble. Despite knowing all those things, I definitely could not have predicted how the story played out. Major events happen that change everything for the characters. There's not a lot of steaminess in this book, it's high on emotions, though. Tanner is at risk for losing everything that means anything to him and he feels the burden of his guilt from it all. Ashley is not herself anymore and is looking to cast blame elsewhere because life isn't fair and she's dealt an especially bad hand. I really wanted to see Tanner on his knees at first, and those conversations with Alex and his parents were fantastic at putting him in his place. I wasn't sure if he could redeem himself sufficiently, but in the end, he goes above and beyond. Ashley is a hard sell on the forgiveness aspect and I couldn't entirely fault her, she doesn't have anyone to lean on besides Quinn and she's hurting in a way that she refuses to trust anyone, least of all Tanner. Everything is basically a nosedive downwards and when things can't get any worse, they do. As if there weren't already enough barriers between Tanner and Ashley, they are heavily scrutinized, too. There's several important lessons in this book: good people make really dumb mistakes, forgiveness is a process that is necessary, and even when it seems like all is lost, the people who love each other must fight to find their way back together again.

Let me start by saying this book will make you cry! Unless you have no soul. The first book ends with Ashley being pregnant and alone. Tanner has taken himself out of the picture. Now she is doing everything she can to build her walls and stay strong. She knows she will need to be for all the things to come with being not only a new mom but a single one and also to move on from the father of her child. She considers a second job when she knows everything is okay with the baby.

Tanner is disgusted with Ashley and her attempt to trap him. He couldn't believe he didn't see past her lies to the real motive behind her actions. He has cut himself completely out of her life and the baby that probably isn't even his as well. He can't get his head straight and it shows in their practices and games. No matter how pissed off he is and how hard he tries, he can't get Ashley out of his head. He has nothing nice to say about her for weeks and finally someone has enough. They make Tanner realize that he may have made the biggest mistake of his life. But is it too late?

This book took me on a serious emotional roller coaster ride that I'm not sure I wanted off of! Twists and turns everywhere and not knowing what would happen next. The characters all felt so real and acted as real people would in the same situation. You could totally connect to a character and take on their emotions. In my opinion this book isn't typical romance but that's just another thing I love about it. Who really wants to read the same storyline over and over in every book? Kudos to you Kimberly you did a fantastic job!

WOW this book was AMAZING. I fell in love with both Tanner and Ashley in book one and was broken hearted when it ended. This book will definitely have you feeling every possible emotion. This by far is one of my top reads for this year. Grab a box of Kleenex and get ready for an emotional ride. Tanner and Ashley are about to face the biggest obstacle no one ever wants to face. While Tanner is trying to prove he mad a mistake and wants to make it right tragedy strikes and Ashley is left a complete mess. Tanner will stop at nothing to get back in Ashley's life and be a better man. Will Ashley be Abel to forgive him or has he damaged her completely?

Really good!

Let me start by saying that in part 2, Ashley was just horrible for just about the entire story. I don’t recall ever reading about such a miserable unlikeable heroine. I’m glad she finally got her ish together towards the end. Both Tanner and Ashley went through a rollercoaster of emotions and I was right there living for it. The only thing that kept me from giving this story 5 stars was the lack of formatting and errors. Other than that, it was really good.

I just skimmed through the book. I can’t believe the length of this book to end the way it did. I mean I jumped from chapter 11 to chapter 30 and only a week had passed. Like what? It was really cliche and a boring book. I didn’t like it, thankfully I skimmed through it and didn’t waste my time reading it.

the heroine's supposed best friend needed to be killed off. i wouldn't wish her kind of friendship on my worst enemy. and the 'hero' isn't even worth mentioning...especially since the best friend pissed me off more and was a big part of why i couldn't finish this book.

What happens when one foolish decision alters your entire world forever?

Tanner's point of view: How do you Earn forgiveness, when you cannot forgive yourself.
Attempt to right a wrongs? Is that even possible, when the love of your life could die. Then when she comes back to the land of the living physically, she emotionally, mentally hates your guts!! Blames you for the loss of your child. How can you get love back from that?
Can Tanner get the love of his life back. Can Ashley forgive him & stop blaming him for the tragedy that caused the loss of their child. Will she stop pushing him away, when all he is trying to do is make up for the loss, & his mistakes in their relationship.
Can Love, outweigh hate?
This saga of Tanner & Ashley's lives really gives a lot of punches to Tanner. He is paying for his mistake of not believing Ashley that he fathered their child. Boy does he pay... in so many ways. Tanner could lose the love of his life permanently. All because of his childish reaction over a pregnancy's. He briefly loses his drive, goals of what he thought were the priority in his life. The respect of his parents for abandoning Ashley in her time of need.
Then fate will have it, on the day he wins the Super Bowl- Ashley is fighting for her life. From a drunk driving accident. Can he make it in time to be there for her? From one horrific accident of a drunk driver, they lose what really matters. Ashley, her baby, self worth belief in love.
Tanner, gets to deal with the emotional tragedy of the loss of their child Daniel. Holding his child to say goodbye. Wow! what a way to stab a person in the back for not being their for the woman you say you love during her pregnancy. Then to find out that Ashley may not come out of this alive.
Tanner tragedy is how he focuses on his new goal. Getting back Ashley... But when he realizes that all she has is hate for him. HIs goal is to just get her to be the person she was before they lost everything. If being out of her life forever, is what makes Ashley hole again. Then Tanner is willing to make the sacrifice for the love he destroyed.

Can Ashley ever forgive Tanner for his part in the loss of their child? Can she get out of her depression & stop depending on Quinn & Alex to bail her out. Will she take Tanner's help when she needs it? Or will she allow her stubbornness, hate & emotionally grief shut her out from the world. Will she live the life of a living dead person?
Read this heartachingly saga of these two characters. See if they can go from anger, abandonment, hate. To love & forgiveness to possibly start a new chapter in their lives.

Before you do anything, grab a box of tissues. This was such an intense book. You’re going to need them. This is Ashley Mitchell and Tanner Garrison’s story of self-destruction. In book one if you didn't read it, you might want to stop and head over there and read that first before going into this book to get the full impact of this portion of the story.

This is rot with jigs and jags because of the emotional rollercoaster the author takes you on with these two characters alone. But, then you add in the supporting characters, and yes there are some very good strong ones, Quinn Taylor, best friend to, Ashley, and, Alex Conway best friend to, Tanner. They are both respectful friends to both, during some very sensitive times.

During the first book, Tanner pursues, Ashley relentlessly. Saying, “I could see the inner vixen hiding inside you even before you knew it was there.” However, he used that inner vixen line and changed the word to something that sounds like more but with an H first. Not fair since, he repeatedly enjoyed the use of her body, and his manly strength by accidentally removing the birth control patch during lovemaking. He uses this as his way to abandon her and the baby which is a surprise to them both.

Because she found the birth control patch in the sheets and she, Googled what to do in that case. She figured the number of days since it popped off, she reapplied, and then the days it should be before they can make love again. She realized hey not a problem when she found it was on, a Thursday I believe he was leaving for a game the next day for the weekend.

But then there was a surprise gala he threw in at the last minute that they went to. And hey, she forgot herself. She was head over the hills, for him like he was for her, or so she thought. Boy was she wrong. Now, she has been left high and dry being accused of being a gold digger and planning it out. When it was as surprising for her as it had been that morning for him. No matter she didn't need him.

The baby had her, and only her, as a parent, he could go to hell. And, the baby had an auntie, Quinn. She didn’t have the time to be vomiting, for the week, like she had been doing. While he was off playing at the Super Bowl, trying to spare him, truly thinking she was ill with the flu, only to find out she was carrying his child. But, she is now that one, that girl. Yup, this is an intense book

This one was much better than the first, which was full of a bunch of nothing and annoying romantic partners. I still find both Ashley and Tanner upsetting at times.

With the way Tanner acted at the end of the first book, I didn’t know how they could’ve gotten over that. Calling her a gold digging whore and saying you need to see a paternity test before helping out when you know she’s been with no one else but you? He was on my shit list. I don’t take kindly to verbal abuse. Words matter. So I get why Ashley wanted nothing to do with him when he finally got over himself and apologized. Add in her pregnancy hormones and he had an uphill battle.

But when he came around, I think she was going overboard trying to prove she didn’t need him. Like you can not take him back and still accept his help and drive your new car. And after she lost the baby, I still understood her anger at him. I can see how anyone can come to the conclusion that if he hadn’t done what he did, she wouldn’t have had a 2nd job and been on the street that day she got hit. But I feel like her constant berating and fury at him was over the top. Even months later when she needs his help, she’s still telling him she hates him and he killed her baby. I think that was too cruel and drawn out for too long.

And then there’s the whole ex of it all. I don’t know why Ashley spoke in code when it came to Melissa. Why didn’t she tell Tanner Melissa came over and told her to abort the baby? And WHY did she never tell him about the evil letter she wrote after the miscarriage? If Ashley would’ve just told Tanner sooner rather than later how evil that girl was things could’ve been different. And Quinn said she knew the girl was lying but she never told Alex or Tanner about it either? Dumb.

I’m conclusion, Tanner is an asshole who spends the entire book groveling for his mistake and essentially grieving alone because he’s not allowed to feel bad in front of Ashley, who he spends a lot of time taking care of. And Ashley is extremely unforgiving and bitchy to not only Tanner but her best friend too. They are 100% toxic.

Better Than the First Book

I was so pissed when I finished the first book because it ended in a cliffhanger that I gave it a 1 star rating. I’m happy to say that this 2nd book is infinitely better! There is an actual story and it’s well told, which means there is hope yet for Ms. Berg.

This review contains SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THE 1ST BOOK: This story picks up where the first book ended, with Ashley and Tanner apart after she tells him she’s pregnant. Tanner has dinner with Melissa, who decides to take certain matters into her own hands and pays a visit to Ashley. Based on Melissa’s tales, the widening gap between Ashley and Tanner turns into an ocean.

Ashley takes a second job to earn money to help pay for the expenses she’ll have once the baby is born. It’s that second job that leads to a life-changing event for all the parties.

I like how the author captured the emotions of the characters in this book. I laughed and cried right alongside them throughout the book. In fact, she did such an amazing job that I’m actually going to purchase another book, provided it isn’t another cliffhanger. There is a 3rd book in this series but I’m going to call it quits at the end of this 2nd book while I’m ahead!

Great job, Ms. Berg!!

What do you do to right a wrong that is the biggest mistake of your life. Tanner is asking that question over and over again. After leaving her, he finally gets a clue and opens his eyes to what everyone around him was telling him from the beginning, he was wrong and don't lose the one woman that is made for you in every possible way.

Ashley is doing whatever it takes to ensure her and her family is protected and care for. what she didn't expect to happy was the worst thing to happen to anyone that is pregnant. the loss of a child is never easy for anyone and the pain and anger is what you live off of to survive. blaming everyone, especially Tanner is what she does thinking that it will save her but really it's making matter worse for everyone around her.

it was great to see her anger and made him beg for a second chance. she is a strong woman and in the back of her mind will always have some form on doubt about the trust but with alot of work and love, they are able to get over it and start to love and live again.

this one was hard to read. emotions were at the very high and the lowest of low and will break your heart into a million pieces. with the love and support, they find a way back to one another.
