MRF to pay 19 final dividend

Tyre major MRF reported a 7.6% year-on-year (y-o-y ) drop in net profit to Rs 572.35 crore for the year ending September 2012 due to fluctuations in raw material prices, increase in power and fuel costs and rupee depreciation.

CHENNAI: Tyre major MRF reported a 7.6% year-on-year (y-o-y ) drop in net profit to Rs 572.35 crore for the year ending September 2012 due to fluctuations in raw material prices, increase in power and fuel costs and rupee depreciation.
The board of directors on Thursday recommended a final dividend of Rs 19 per share for 2012. With two interim dividends of Rs 3 each paid earlier during this year, the aggregate annual dividend worked out to Rs 25 per share.
MRF has become the first Indian tyre company to cross the Rs 13,000-crore mark in turnover.Net profit slumped 58.3% y-o-y to Rs 164.76 crore during the quarter ending September. Total income advanced 14.2% to Rs 2,993.62 crore during the quarter.
