Learn Spanish with Wake Forest Women's Basketball!

Well, not exactly. But you can brush up on your skills if you have them. Rising freshman Sandra Garcia has been selected to try out for Puerto Rico's National Team next week. You can read about it (in Spanish) here.

What's that? ¿No comprende? Well the synopsis is that Garcia will tryout next week. She's one of the youngest players to receive an invitation; most of the athletes have already been through at least a year of DI experience.

The team's first games will be in September. Puerto Rico is competing with Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Chile, Cuba, Dominican Republic and Venezuela for three slots. The three teams will advance to play in the World Cup 2010.
