Our DFE platform aims to strengthen national food security and empower farmers in Indonesia. Beyond just a platform, this mission is also aligned with the people involved, including our Agritech Business Lead, Riris Dwi Anggoro (Boris Anggoro), who has the same spirit for building a sustainable and ethical food ecosystem in Indonesia. Even though the agriculture industry is a new playground for Boris, and he finds challenges, the yes-if mentality carried by Indies (our employees) has enabled them to explore and discover solutions collaboratively. Celebrating an Australia Indonesia 'Win-Win' - Bogasari Indofood - Reducing GHG Emissions in Indonesia’s Flour Milling Industry 🤝 It’s been an honour recently to work with the incredibly talented flour milling operations team at Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk, Division Bogasari Flour Mills PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk on an #ESG project to accelerate the #decarbonization of #Indonesianflourmilling.    Project insights will be applied back through the wheat grain supply chain from #Indonesianflourmills to #WesternAustralianfarms to make our #agriculturaltrade relationship more #climateresilient and #sustainable #AustralianAgriculturalSustainabilityFramework FSB Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) The project was supported through the #IndonesiaAustraliaComprehensiveEconomicPartnershipIACEPA and Australia Awards funding of the Grains Australia #GrainsAustraliaLeadershipProgram, delivered via Grains Australia (who are funded by the Grains Research and Development Corporation), IA-CEPA ECP Katalis, The University of Queensland. Congratulations Richard Simonaitis Grains Australia and Australian Export Grains Innovation Centre (AEGIC) the program is an outstanding investment in #Australia and #Indonesia's #sharedfoodfutures. I worked with Grain Growers Limited colleagues on the IA-CEPA Grains Partnership concept in 2017, then went on to design and deliver the CBH, WOA, DPIRD Carbon Neutral Grain Pilot https://lnkd.in/gFRzZsV8 in Western Australia in 2021-2022. Now in 2023 to work with wonderful colleagues at the Indonesian end of the Australian wheat supply chain on lower carbon pathways to market for Australian farmers AND more sustainably produced flour and noodle products for Indonesian food consumers has been a win-win for everyone. Our trust, collaboration, solutions-mindset and persistence has paid off multiple times over. This was just one of more than a dozen projects. I'm looking forward to how the Indonesian food and feed milling industry, Grains Australia and Aust side industry colleagues including the grower-owned CBH Group bulk exporter take these results forward. Encouraging research data by World Resources Institute revealed that Indonesia emerged as the top country for reducing deforestation in primary forest loss in 2022. Thanks to government policies, corporate commitments, and corrective actions, primary forest loss in Indonesia remains at historically low levels. At Musim Mas, we're thrilled with the results and remain steadfast in our commitment to tackling deforestation. Our goal is clear: To achieve a verified 100% #DeforestationFree supply chain by 2025. Our plantations lead by example as #ZeroDeforestation, and we extend our #NoDeforestation commitments to third-party suppliers.
