The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) is seeking proposals for innkeeping and/or hospitality services for the historic Wolf Creek Inn, near Grants Pass, Oregon.

Wolf Creek Inn has been managed and operated in a variety of ways in its long history. OPRD is open to any combination of food, lodging, and event concession options, operators, and seasons.

The Property

Wolf Creek Inn is a beautiful, fully restored historic facility, offering fine dining and overnight lodging for more than 130 years. Nestled on 4½ acres of lush, green southern Oregon parkland, it offers a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience to the right entrepreneur.

Built around 1883, the Inn is a magnificent 11,000 sq. ft. structure listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is the oldest building in the Pacific Northwest still being used for its original purpose. Its intimate, rural setting blends 19th-century charm with modern, upgraded amenities. The Inn is the only lodging in town.

Spectacular southern Oregon is a mecca for outdoor recreation, special events and historic tourism. The Inn is within easy driving distance to the wild and scenic Rogue River, Crater Lake National Park, the Oregon Caves, the renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, and the Britt Music Festival in Jacksonville.

The tourism economy here is strong. Visitors to the region spent $315 million in 2015 on lodging, restaurant and hospitality services.

  • RFP issue date: August 15, 2017

  • Contracted services to begin in 2018.
