Rate this book
Chad Evans, lead singer of the platinum record award winning band, Trapped Under Ice, is haunted by his past.

Growing up in an abusive home, he is left alone at the age of thirteen to raise his kid brother. Years later Chad still fights the pain he felt as a child, and the anger it causes, despite being a wildly successful rock star. “Chad [tries] to play his heart out on the stage; but he [can] never quite seem to leave it there.”

Three years have passed since her husband, Paul’s, death, but Beth’s life is still shadowed by sorrow.

The lunch lady/writer is thrilled to be enjoying a Trapped Under Ice concert with her daughter, Cassie. But when the concert is over, they are followed and attacked by two men in one of the stadium’s bathrooms.

When Chad and his bodyguard, Pete, come to their aid, an instant attraction sparks between Beth and the tall singer.

Will Chad and Beth be able to leave their pasts behind? Or will they remain TRAPPED UNDER ICE?

They have to face difficulties from without, (ex-girlfriends who resurface, crazed fans who don’t want to take “no” for an answer…), as well as difficulties from within, (jealousy, anger, fear…).

And just as the two seem to be able to work through their problems, someone starts sending Chad death threats. Will their story end before it even begins?

I was born in Overland Park, KS, in the heart of Tornado Alley, and my life has been a bit twisted since. Actually, it’s not all that twisted, but I’ve always wanted to use that line. I grew up in St. Louis, MO, went to school at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and moved to Bloomington, IL, fresh out of college, after my husband got a job at State Farm’s corporate headquarters. I’ve worked as a high school/junior college teacher, personnel recruiter, office manager of a jewelry store, and, for the past ten years, as a lunch lady. I like to karaoke and attend rock concerts. I am actively involved at church and spend too much time on Facebook. I am the mother of a eighteen-year-old, and sixteen-year-old triplets, and have been married to my husband, Don, for over twenty-four years.
I have been a writer all my life. My first book, which was co-written with Mary Ellen Murphey in second grade, was titled The Black Cat, and was written on blue hotel stationary, hole-punched, and bound by white yarn. I believe it is currently out of circulation.
When I turned forty, I had an epiphany of sorts. I realized those bigwig publishing houses in New York were now probably run by people younger than me, so I shouldn’t be intimidated by them. At about the same time I was watching one of those award shows, and Jaclyn Smith got up to give a post-humorous award to Aaron Spelling. She credited him for encouraging her to go into acting, saying something brilliant like, “Reach for your dreams.” Nothing new. Almost even seems a little Jiminy Cricketish. But, for some reason, it struck me that night. When Aaron Spelling was thirteen, he was probably just like any other acned thirteen-year-old. But he worked to achieve his dreams, and became a household name. So, I began to write. Once I finished my first book, I wasn’t able to stop. I would rather write than do just about anything else. After all, you get to make people (characters) do what you want and design your own happy endings. What power! What a privilege.

NOT YOUR USUSL ROCK STAR ROMANCE

This was a pleasant read. It didn't contain any of the usual aspects that I've come to expect from the books that I usually read in this genre. The characters here were for want of a better description were grown ups and for the most part behaved like grownups.

Chad the lead singer in the group Trapped Under Ice, has a bad family history which has left it's scars on him. He's rather jaded with regards to women he's had plenty but they all seem to be into him for his fame, not for him. That is till he meets Beth a widow with a 16 year old daughter Cassie. Beth and Cassie are attending one of the bands concerts when they are attacked. Chad comes to the rescue. There's a spark between them which is the start of their relationship.

While I did enjoy this, it lacked that raw element that is usually present in books of this genre. The band all seemed a bit too goody goody for me. It wasn't that they weren't nice characters it's just I expected them too be a bit more self centred and full on. I didn't totally connect with Chad and Beth their relationship was a bit too low key for my taste. I liked the authors writing style. I'm just not sure it suits this type of story.

Good plot

This story was a mystery as well as a rockstar love story. I liked how we don't find out who Chad's hater is until close to the end. The characters were all likable, lovable even, for the most part. I loved Pete, the bodyguard, most of all for some reason. While we really only get hints to his personality and previous life, there are enough hints to conclude he is a good man. Chad and David had a traumatic and violent childhood which the author revealed in short snippets mainly to explain Chad's propensity for fighting.

All in all, I enjoyed the story. I originally bought this whole series not reading/realizing they were singular stories and didn't follow one band. I look forward to the others from this author.

This was an interesting story. I enjoyed this book even though I didn't really warm to the male lead, Chad. I understood his motivations more as the story progressed, but still wasn't all that interested in him as a character.
The main female character of Beth was far easier to relate to and the interactions between her and the other characters in the books were very believable. Some of the secondary characters were portrayed in such a way that I’m already intrigued to read their books to find out what was going on for them behind the scenes of this story.
It started out as a very strong book with an opening that had me wondering how things would progress. The action remained a constant throughout the book and the twist towards the end took my by complete surprise. I would say that this is definitely worth a read.

First of all I must say I absolutely enjoyed reading Trapped Under Ice. When I first read the blurb I was intrigued and could not wait for the chance to read this book and it was worth every waking moment. This story took me on a trip that I am still yet to recover from. Trapped Under Ice is a contemporary, suspenseful romantic read and it’s the first book in the Rocking Romance Series. .
This story was told form the main character’s point of view which gave me a better insight into these characters as a result I was able to maintain a connection with them throughout the entire story.
The author introduces us to Beth Donovan, a widow who is a lunch lady/romance writer. She had lost her husband and was left with the task of raising her teenage daughter on her own. Beth has always been a fan of the band Trapped Under Ice and she gained the chance of going to one of their concerts. Never in her wildest dreams did she think that she would have had the opportunity to meet, Chad Evans, the lead singer of the group. Even though the meeting did not take place under favourable circumstances it was obvious that there was a connection between these two. They eventually got involved with each other; however their relationship was not without its many obstacles. Beth had not completely gotten over losing her husband and Chad had issues from his past to overcome. In spite of this they both managed to push past these issues which led to their relationship growing even stronger. Beth was not willing to give up on Chad and she proved to him that she truly loved him faults and all. In the midst of them growing closer there was a crazed fan that was bent on destroying what they both fought so hard for.
I loved how the issue of the crazed fan was dealt with. It had me trying to figure who this person was. It was a big surprise when it was finally revealed. There was some action near to the end which was quite fitting.
This was a very emotional story. It made me laugh and it tugged at my heart strings. I had a hard time fighting the tears. This is a story of love, healing and forgiveness. It depicts what it truly means to love someone and how pain and hurt from our past can be a stumbling block to our future if it’s not dealt with. The story grabbed my attention from the very first page and held it to the very end. After reading this book I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Thumbs up for M. J Schiller.

TRAPPED UNDER ICE is the first book in M.J. Schiller’s Rocking Romance Series. First let me say, it is a stand-a-lone book! No worries about a cliffhanger.

“She captivated him from the start. She asked nothing of him, and somehow made the ache inside him go away.”

I loved this book! This was an emotional story where two worlds collide. It was about letting go of the past, healing, second chances, and finding love. I laughed, cried and was sucked in right from the very beginning! There was one surprise after another, I didn’t want to put it down! It also has one of the most romantic proposals!

Chad Evans is the lead singer of the band Trapped Under Ice. He is haunted by his past and has a reputation for getting into trouble. He is the product of an abusive childhood but after the loss of his parents, at 13 years old, he took on the responsibility of raising his younger brother and fellow band member, David (Davey). He is filled with anger, rage and he lets his emotions get carried away. He cannot control the urge to protect at any and all costs.

Beth is a huge Trapped Under Ice fan. She works as a lunch lady, is an author of “trashy” novels, can sing and is a widow with a 16 year old daughter, Cassie. As an early Christmas present, Cassie surprises her with tickets to their concert. Before returning to their hotel, they stop to use the restroom where they are attacked. Cassie is able to get away and goes to find help. She runs right into Chad who immediately intervenes.

There is an instant attraction between Chad and Beth. Tired of the Rock Star lifestyle, Chad pursues Beth. He is in unfamiliar territory with his feelings toward her. He doesn’t want to mess up what they could have together, but his temper seems to always get the better of him. Beth is still mourning her late husband, Paul, and is also in unfamiliar territory. She is afraid to start over again, afraid of allowing herself to feel anything. She is afraid of Chad breaking her heart, knowing she couldn’t go through a loss like that again.

We see a different and softer side to Chad when he is with Beth. Chad is desperate for a “normal” life with her but their relationship is anything but easy; he’s on the road a lot and has some crazy fans, they are both trying to deal with personal issues, problems arise between band members and if that wasn’t enough, Chad is receiving death threats!

You will love this book! It has something for everyone ~ suspense, romance and humor!

Being a single mother to a teenage girl, Beth knows that her love for the band Trapped Under Ice should be over by now. But excitement bubbles madly when Cassie, her daughter, buys tickets to see them in concert.

What was a hugely entertaining night suddenly turns sour when they are attacked. Running for help, Cassie screams at Chad - lead singer of Trapped Under Ice - to help. Without hesitation he runs to aid Beth but takes it too far almost pummeling beyond recognition one of the assailants, much to his horror and Beth's. Feeling responsible, Chad offers Beth and Cassie tickets to see another show. From that moment, their lives become entwined in an unexpected way.

Still shielding behind the death of her husband over three years ago, the hardworking lunch lady/writer keeps her emotions in check. When Chad comes waltzing in with genuine affection for her, Beth builds her defenses. How can she become involved with a rock star? His lifestyle is so far removed from her own - in a new city practically every night along with a new woman. She serves lunch to children and writes romance novels. Where was the common ground? Beth has seen Chad's temper and it scares her. There's more to learn about the handsome rock star...does she let her guard down to do so?

With a tumultuous relationship looming before them, Chad and Beth try to make it work. The band members, best friend Roger and brother David look out for the new couple but have concerns of their own. When threatening letters start arriving they wonder who is behind it. Is Beth involved? When the messages turn more threatening, Chad has to reveal all to Beth. Will this be the breaking point of their relationship?

Schiller's fraught yet romantic story is alive with both vibrant and homely characters. Beth is likable and that fantasy of meeting your hero certainly came true but it went beyond her imagination, opening her life up to how the rich and famous live. Written in an easy to read style, the plot keeps you guessing as to how it will turn out. With a dramatic and unexpected final few chapters, Trapped Under Ice is for all romance fans who harbor the dream of meeting their idol. A recommended read.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author to review. The opinions expressed are my own and I am not expected to give a positive critique.

The Romance Review

TRAPPED UNDER ICE is book #1 of the Rocking Romance Collection. It follows Chad, a huge rock star who comes from an abusive past. He can't seem to get his life on track, to find something that makes him feel or someone. He has anger issues and self-worth issues that tend to get in the way of his relationships with women so he has decided to keep them to meaningless encounters. He pours his heart out to his fans on stage instead, but he still doesn't feel whole.

Beth Donovan is a lunch lady/romance writer and a big Trapped Under Ice fan. She is thrilled when she goes to one of their concerts with her daughter Cassie. It has been years since her husband Paul died in a tragic car accident yet she can't seem to bring herself to move on romantically with anyone. Until one day, a traumatic experience brings her face to face with the man that could own her heart.

When Beth and her daughter Cassie are attacked at a Trapped Under Ice concert, Cassie runs for help. She finds none other than Chad, the lead singer of the band hanging out back stage. Chad saves Beth from a near rape in the stadium's bathroom. Sparks fly between the two and they can't seem to stay away from each other.

The relationship was sweet between the two; this is an adult romance. I enjoyed the sweetness of it. When I am in the mood for a nice romance with some angst and some emotional turmoil, I know I can find it in an M.J. Schiller book. There is an immediate attraction between these two but you can tell from the beginning their relationship would not be easy; he's a rock star while she's just an ordinary lunch lady. Really, those are just tiny differences; the real issues are with Chad's anger in regards to his abusive childhood that he has never dealt with and Beth trying to move on from her husband's death.

Some suspense gets thrown in when Chad starts getting threatening messages from a crazed fan. That was a nice surprise element into the story. This is a love story that is fraught with difficulties from crazed rock fans, jealousy, anger and fear. As with all of M.J.s books, I find myself in an emotional tailspin as I read the story. Nice job.

**4.5 Fiery Hearts!**

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Okay…I did NOT expect the crazy person to be who it turns out to be! Wow…just wow! Well now that I've said that, let me say that this is a great book. Not only does it have the boy meets girl, boy screws up, couples works it out typical romance, but it also has an underlying suspenseful someone trying to kill me storyline. Nothing like a happily ever after combined with a who wants me dead scenario to keep you flipping the pages.

Chad Evans is the front man for Trapped Under Ice. He's a rock star with a crazy past, which torments him on a daily basis. Not even through drinking, sex, or fighting does the anger in him recede…not until he meets Beth.

"He wanted this woman in a way he wanted no other woman. But, for the first time in a long time, he was at a loss as to how to achieve what he wanted."

Beth Donovan is a huge Trapped Under Ice fan, but there was no way she could have known what would happen after one of their concerts. The incident which led her to meeting Chad was an event that would change her life in many ways.

"Oooh. That's so much better when I can't see you."

"Uhhh…is that supposed to be a compliment? 'Cause, it doesn't sound like one."

Chad and Beth's relationship has its shares of ups and downs, but they share an intensity that cannot be denied. However, their relationship isn't the only focus. It's filled with great secondary characters like her daughter, Cassie, and the rest of the band. The interaction between all of the characters is well written and essential.

My Favorite Moment: I loved the night sledding. It was a bonding experience for everyone involved and it was filled with sweetness, humor, and an occasional snowball.

My Favorite 'Aww' Moments: I have two (probably more, but I'll limit it to two). The first is the second trip Chad and Beth make to the vineyard and the second is prom. I don't want to give anything away, but they were both kinda perfect.

Chad Evans, the gorgeous lead singer of the three time platinum band Trapped Under Ice. With the reputation of being wild and causing trouble. Stemming from an abusive childhood, being left along at the tender age of thirteen and having to raise his younger brother and fellow band member David. With nothing but anger and rage within him, he tries to perform 110% at his shows when he is on stage but that never seems to be enough.

Beth Donovan is a widowed mother of a teenage daughter. She works as a lunch lady who happens to be a writer. As an early Christmas present, her daughter surprises her with Trapped Under Ice concert tickets. After the concert, they are attacked by two men. Her daughter is able to get away and runs for help. Little did she know that help would come from Chad and his bodyguard, Pete. There is immediate attraction between them.

Beth agrees to go on a date with Chad. Although it has been three years, she still mourns for her late husband Paul. Her sorrow still affects her life. She is scared to open herself up again because she knows her heart couldn’t withstand another loss and Chad is definitely the heart breaking type.

Chad has never been with anyone like Beth. He is enamored with her. He is trying his hardest not to mess it up but his jealousy and unresolved anger seem to get the best of him, which makes Beth hesitant and that is not what he wants.

Both agree to give it a shot. Being in a relationship is hard but being in one with a famous rock star is downright deadly. *Insert chaos here* Together they face their personal issues, the bumps in the road all couples face as well as a few crazed fans, band disagreements and oh did I mention the death threats?

M.J. Schiller successfully gives us angst, suspense, humor, romance and a few downright jaw dropping moments.

A wonderful story about second chances, letting go of the past, healing and finding love.

So, let's all be honest here: wouldn't every female on this planet just LOVE to be the wife/girlfriend/confidant of a famous rocker? Wouldn't every female love to have that simple connection with that perfect someone, and wouldn't it be even better if that perfect someone just happened to be a tall, slim, muscular, rockstar?

After having read this rockstar romance, I was forced to look at another angle of what romance really means. I am now aware that romance isn't just about love, sex, and marriage; it's about being a part of someone who you know will never abandon you and sticking up for what you truly believe in. M.J. Schiller truly captures the essence of that in this amazing, realistic fiction thriller, Trapped Under Ice.

In this book, we have a protagonist, obviously, a Ms. Beth Donovan, who is a widow of three years, left to raise her teenage daughter Cassie. Trapped Under Ice is the name of a famous band (similar to today's Three Days Grace or Muse) who the Donovan ladies are fairly fond of. At the beginning we meet the famous lead singer of the band, Chad Evans (even the name sounds sexy) who has his own personal demons that he deals with through philandering. The gist of the book is about Beth and Chad meeting under scary circumstances, but nonetheless, they feel a spark that neither can seem to deny. After several dates, they become the couple everyone is envious of. Except one person.... the person who doesn't want Chad to be happy. Are these death threats and anonymous notes left for Chad by an envious ex-girlfriend? Or is the culprit closer than Beth and Chad would like to imagine?

Read this amazing book and find out for yourself! Three cheers to Ms. Schiller for doing an outstanding job on her latest novel!

Beth is a 37-year-old widow raising her 16-year-old daughter, Cassie, alone. Chad is the lead singer of Trapped Under Ice. She has a fear of opening herself up. He comes from an abusive home and has angry issues. While Beth and Cassie are out attending a Trapped Under Ice concert they are suddenly attacked and who should come to their rescue but none other than Chad. There's an immediate attraction between the widow and the rock star but will they be able to overcome their pasts to have a future?

I have been eyeballing this book for a while and was more than thrilled when I was asked to review Trapped Under Ice. Once I started reading it, I could not put it down. I loved this book! This is a great romantic story between two people you just wouldn't see together. M.J. Schiller did an outstanding job of humanizing Beth and Chad instead of pigeon holing them as rock star/lunch lady stereo-types. The fact that the female lead is not a 20-something year old is a big plus in my book. The flow of the story was smooth and the characters were all very real. The secondary characters were great and quirky (Roger is my favorite!) and add to the story seamlessly. Next time someone asks me for a good book to read, I will definitely be recommending Trapped Under Ice.

I was provided a copy of this book for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review - all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Are you a fan of Rock N Roll and Romances ? Love reading about Hot Band guys meeting the ones they can truly love and chucking their bad boy ways away and settling down with someone who can change them for the better, no matter what the situation ? Trapped Under Ice is just that. The one thing that did surprise me as again I was judging by the cover was that I had thought this book to be a teen fiction novel or a new adult but more focused on the teen aspect. However, it turned out to be an Adult novel as the story starts with Cassie shouting her mum and her tickets to the band Trapped Under Ice concert as Cassie's mother Beth is a big fan. However tragedy strikes and Cassie and her mum are attacked but all is not ruined as Chad Evans comes to the rescue - he is the lead singer of Trapped Under Ice. Soon a whirling romance begins and Beth wonders if she is ready for this as she has already lost one love to death and she has Cassie to think of. As the relationship intensifies though, it seems someone out there is destined to destroy it if the relationship furthers as Chad starts to recieve death threats that could ultimately harm Beth and those he loves around him. Is the romance destined to shine and come out in the open or will it be a lost love romance that is forbidden and destined to stay "trapped under ice".

5 Stars – 4 flames

Trapped Under Ice is a wonderful story of love, second chances and healing. It has so many of my favorite qualities in a book; A. Hot Rocker, B. Alpha Male, C. Great Secondary Characters, D. Love Story and E. A Man and Woman that love hard.

Chad Evans is the Rocker Lead Singer of Trapped Under Ice. Beth is a Lunch Lady/Erotic Romance Novelist. They meet by way of a tragedy. Chad falls in love with Beth immediately. Chad has a lot of baggage that weighs him down and so does Beth. There was a little bit of angst but this means good writing to provoke my emotions. I loved that Beth is a strong female character and has endured many tragedies and come out on top. She was able pull Chad out of his funk and stand by her man! I loved Pete and Roger. I would have loved Roger to have a happily ever after. My favorite scene in the book was the night snow sledding. Very cute. The characters feel real and deal with real issues.

The flow of the book was smooth until the end where it felt a little rushed. But saving the mystery to the end of the story made you stay on the edge of your seat. Well done! It is a stand alone with a HEA.
I would recommend this book for a nice love story with a hot rocker. MJ makes you feel as though you are there with your characters and see what they do. This makes for good writing and story telling. I am a big fan of MJ’s!

I LOVED this book! I wasn’t sure how the romance with a woman my age and a rock star would go but let me tell you that M.J. knows what she is doing.
Beth has been a fan of Trapped Under Ice for a long time and when her daughter, Cassie surprises her with tickets, she is stoked. After the concert, the two women are attacked in the restroom and Chad Evans, lead singer and knight in scruffy armor, comes to the rescue. The attraction between them is like lightening but Beth still feels like she is mourning the loss of her husband, Paul.
This was not an easy story and the twists and turns in their relationship, friends and family kept me glued to the pages. I love how M.J. was able to draw out each emotion and play it out so you could see how it affected the ones involved. I love that Beth was a lunch lady, who happened to write as well. She showed a real passion for her work and didn’t feel like it was beneath her. I look forward to more books from this author and hope she comes back to join us here at Romancebookworm’s Reviews!

Trapped Under Ice has to be just about every woman approaching 40's dream to meet and date a rock star that they have been crushing on. A contemporary romance about two people at vastly different places in there lives come together through mutual attraction and then have to try to deal with not only the issues that arise from the difference in their lifestyles but also the pains and issues from their pasts.

If you (like I have) have harbored the fantasy that one day Simon LeBon or Jon BonJovi was going to see you across a crowded concert and have to meet you. Then you will enjoy the premise of M.J. Miller's Trapped Under Ice. This story has its ups and downs it has his past abuse and her widowhood and 16 year old daughter to deal with. I also found that this book was not as steamy as some of the other rock star romances that are out right now(that I suppose is a +or- depending on your view)

At a little over 300 pages this is a good size novel but I found it compelling and it didn't have a lot of drag to it.

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Trapped Under Ice is beautifully written, not showy, just completely engaging and absorbing. Every time I had to put it down to do something else, I was still immersed in Beth and Chad’s world. I love it when that happens! They each struggle with heartache from their pasts, as well as the challenge of having such different lives. But their connection goes way deeper than physical attraction, and Beth in particular is willing to fight for what she knows they both need and deserve. (I feel like I’d love her in real life.) I liked that Chad had depths beyond the stereotypical rock star – although he is rock star hot! And I totally didn’t see the plot twist coming.
The author has a talent for writing song lyrics too – I wish I could hear them as real songs. As I was reading, it made me think of a particular song, and although it’s not mentioned in the book, it’s Beth and Chad’s song in my own mind!

Anyone who's ever had a fantasy about a rock star can identify with Beth, the heroine of "Trapped Under Ice." She may be the mother of a teen-ager but she still has fan girl fantasies about Chad, the lead singer of her favorite band. But Trapped Under Ice isn't just the name of the band. It's also where Beth's heart has been since the death of her beloved husband. When her daughter gives her tickets to see the band and when, because of a scary incident after the concert, she gets to meet her crush, the ice begins to thaw.

Of course, the path to true love is never easy. Throw in Chad's demons from a terrible childhood, the pressures being a famous rock star on tour and a stalker who's sending threatening letters, and it seems impossible for the couple to get together. Or stay together. After a few twists and turns, they do. But then the real twist comes making the reader wonder if Beth and Chad will make it through to their happily-ever-after.

Trapped Under Ice is the story of what many of us dream of - having a famous person fall in love with us and living a fantasy that happens only to a very lucky few. MJ Schiller plays out this very fantasy for Beth Donovan, a woman who not only finds the famous man of her dreams but also realizes that he's more than she bargained for. Sure, the fireworks fly with celebrity rock star Chad Evans at first - but lust or love at first sight isn't going to be enough to keep these two together. Past haunts and heartbreaks, crazed fans and internal demons will interfere, testing Beth and Chad in ways they're not prepared to handle. In the end, the reader is treated to a story that shows what real love is, and it isn't about the trappings that come with the limelight. It's about what comes from inside.

Trapped Under Ice, from JM Schiller’s Rocking Romance Collection, is a great addition to the lineup. On rare occasion, brutality can lead to something good and tender and oh-so-right, if the rescuer happens to be hunky rock star with a lonely heart of gold, Chad Evans. Despite the fact that lonely widow Beth Donovan is neither glamorous nor rich, and despite the fact that Chad Evans, superstar, seems star-struck with her, she sticks to her guns and refuses to be swept away by the power of his celebrity. However, their love is real, so they must find a way, through the difficulties of stardom and stalkers, to a life they can both live with.
This tale is captivating, tender, and full of emotional ups and downs. I loved every minute. Well done.

R.T. Wolfe Review of M.J. Schiller’s Trapped Under Ice

Schiller does a magnificent job in creating Chad as a hot, untouchable rock star. She also has a fantastic way of creating him as a human being with a history that haunts him and issues that eat at him like his inability to keep a simple fan from invading his mind and his heart. Beth is, of course, enamored with him…she’d be a fool not to be…but she’s smart and keeps her priorities intact. The colorful dance between desire, misunderstanding and a need for a normal life twine these two together in the most comforting, sexy story. Way to go, Schiller!

A sexy, heart wrenching romance that lets us know even the famous are human.

Unlike some rock romances this one is quite tame in comparison- esp when it comes to the sex. some parts are a bit cliche, but tbh its a lovely read, it pulls you in from start to finish, the characters are just fab! They are well written in to the story, I am not one for spoilers, I believe that people should read a book for themselves and make their own decision if it is for them, but what I will say is that this book is full of emotion, a roller coaster at times, 2 very different worlds collide and make a huge impact on one another, healing the past and letting it go, moving on to a second chance at love!

DNF. <--- Anybody who knows me will be shocked by that...I usually can't NOT finish a book. I've finished books that I've absolutely hated but at least they were making me feel SOMEthing. THIS is giving me nothing. I'm not connected to the characters...they're boring me to tears so, for me, this is a waste of time when there are so many other books.

I can't say it was bad...it's just not for me.

On to the next one.

i really enjoyed the characters in this book, the feeling of swift and brutal violence shocking on an ordinary day, and the fact that this was well written "rockstar lite"--the sex drugs and rock and roll lifestyle were there, but didn't overshadow the lovestory. i enoyed the relarionships so much i could actually have done without the mysterious danger plot, but even that part was well done. i would definately read more of these characters should they reappear: HINT HINT.

Rock star romance where the characters are older than normal. There is a bit of mystery, angst, humor, and love in this book. Chad is the lead singer for a rock band. Beth is a lunchlady who attended a concert with her 16 year old daughter. Chad rescues Beth at that concert and the rest is their story. No cliffhanger. Dual point of views. A nice read that will leave you breathless at the end.

M.J. Schiller's Trapped Under Ice is a fantastic escape into the life of a favored fan rescued by the rockstar she's lusted over for years. But beyond every female fan's dream is a story about learning to love again after heartache and a mystery sure enough to keep the reader guessing until the end. It's sexy, riveting and heartwarming all wrapped into one beautiful story.

Dnf, just wasn't feeling it at all... This rock star romance was just to tame for me, and I found there first sex scene boring...had potential though!

I did get this for free, won't be continuing with the rest of series

Great read. Chad was a lead singer in a rock band. Beth was a widow with a 16 year old daughter, she was a lunch lady and wrote romance novels. Both had some issue to work thrush before moving on with their lives. Some mystery and suspense made for a great read.

After reading reviews of this book, I braced myself for the worst. I was pleasantly surprised. Nice story. Nice characters. Well paced. I don't agree with the negative reviews at all. Will read more by this author.

Awestruck

I loved the book, Chad Evans is a romantic and a half. It helped Beth ease her pain about her late husband and got her to love day by day by loving her and her daughter.
