LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The HBU women's soccer team heads west on I-10 to play New Mexico State Friday at 5 pm central, then conclude the road trip at UTEP Sunday at 2 pm central.

HBU is 0-1-0 all-time against New Mexico State and 0-4-0 against the Miners.

HBU (0-2-0) began the regular season with two tough road losses to UTSA and Baylor. UTSA scored the game winner early in the second overtime. Junior Rebekah Tovar and sophomore Allison Abendschein have connected on both shot attempts.
 
Senior Patty Walrath started both matches in goal and made five saves, while facing 30 shots. She has a 1.40 goals-against average and a .625 save percentage.
 
The only time HBU and New Mexico State met was early in the 2011 season, when then-sophomore Stephanie Castellon set a new program record with 18 saves.

New Mexico State (0-3-0) traveled across the border to face UTEP Wednesday evening. UTEP defeated the Aggies, 5-0. New Mexico State connected on seven of its eight shot attempts, led by Jennae Cambra, who had three shots on goal.
 
For the season, Cambra leads the Aggies with two goals and four points.
 
Taylor Hammack has played every match in goal and is 0-3-0 with a 3.33 GAA and a .615 save percentage, while making 16 saves.

UTEP (2-0-1) scored four goals in the first half to defeat New Mexico State, 5-0, Wednesday night in the Battle of I-10. Hannah Nicholson had a goal and three assists. UTEP hosts Incarnate Word Friday night before playing the Huskies.
 
Bri Barriero leads the Miners with two goals and six points, while Nicholson has a team-leading three assists.
 
Sarah Dilling has not allowed a goal in three matches, as she has made 12 saves - seven coming against the Aggies.
