Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 Released
Back in April there was the first beta release of RHEL 6.0 and today Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 has officially entered the world.
With Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, Red Hat is offering up many KVM virtualization improvements, the GCC 4.4 compiler, the open-source Nouveau driver for providing NVIDIA graphics hardware support, improved power management, and various other Linux enhancements.
Here is Red Hat's press release announcing RHEL6 as their next-generation Linux operating system. We have already delivered Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 benchmarks looking at the performance of RHEL6 compared to our Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 benchmarks, from the first beta and our most recent RHEL6 benchmarks.
