Co-led by the Edmonton Seniors Coordinating Council and the City of Edmonton, Age Friendly Edmonton is an initiative that addresses the key factors contributing to healthy, active, creative, aging in Edmonton.

We’re looking for dynamic individuals (of any age!) who can mobilize their networks to achieve the vision of Age Friendly Edmonton 2.0. AFE 2.0 will focus on four key priority areas: reducing ageism, supporting aging in place, promoting intergenerational connections, and responding to diversity.

You will be required to complete the following:

Application Instructions
How to apply:


1. Carefully read through the application materials.

Do the time commitments fit with your schedule? Which role is the best fit given your particular skills and expertise?


2. Prepare your application package.

What should be included in your resume and reference letters? First, your resume should list the following: relevant skills, work and/or volunteer experience, achievements, and any awards or publications. Your reference letters should speak to your accomplishments, personal working style, and unique abilities. We want to know what you will bring to the table!


3. Complete the application form on the following page.

Make sure to answer each question completely and thoroughly! Incomplete applications will not be considered.


4. Email copies of your resume and two (2) reference letters.

After you have submitted your application form, please email copies of your resume and two reference letters to aferecruitment@edmonton.ca with the subject line  ‘AFE 2.0 APPLICATION’. The deadline to submit your application form and supporting materials is SEPTEMBER 4, 2018 at 4pm.


5. Join us for an interview.

Once we have reviewed the applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview. This will give us a chance to meet you, discuss the AFE initiative, and review details about the different positions. This also offers you an opportunity to ask any questions.
