WHAT IS AUDIO-PUNCH?

In my line of work I get a lot of questions from podcast producers and content creators wanting to learn more about the basics (and not-so-basics) of recording and editing audio. Rather than type those answers out a bunch of times at random locations across the internet every time it comes up, I wanted to create a central resource that focuses on different approaches to making a Podcast (or Video or Stream) well. (Especially when it comes to audio).

Audio-Punch is that resource.

If you're just starting out, it's easy to get buried under the extraordinary volume of options for gear, software, accessories, hosting services, etc. The good news is, the specifics don't really matter. With thirty bucks, a good attitude, and a laptop, you can make a high-quality podcast that people will enjoy listening to. Everything beyond that is polishing a gem.

With Audio-Punch, the goal is to give you as many different hints as I can come up with to get you more comfortable with recording, editing, finishing, and publishing your show.

But that's only half the picture — the best sounding show in the world won't be worth anything if it's not also, y'know, fun to listen to. So while I'm no [insert ultra-successful person here], I do think that my weird combo history in theater, film, and podcasting has given me some ideas worth sharing about what goes into a solid piece of programming. When I need a break from the audio-engineering babble, we'll talk about that stuff, too.

Hopefully this stuff gets you as excited as it gets me. If you have questions you want answered, or ideas you want to share, hit that contact link in the menu and we'll talk. Until then? Enjoy the channel!
