Aaron Ramsey to feature for Arsenal reserves against Everton as comeback steps up

Aaron Ramsey is set to hand Wales and Arsenal a massive boost with a return to action from his injury nightmare tonight.

The midfield starlet, 19, has been pencilled in to figure for the Gunners' reserve side against Everton at their London Colney training base.

Ramsey has been in light training after nine months out with a broken leg that threatened to end his career.

The Welshman's career was in the balance after an X-rated tackle by Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross broke both his fibula and tibia of his right leg back in February.

But £5million ace Ramsey is expected to take his next step on the road to recovery under the watchful eye of Arsene Wenger.

Wales captain Ashley Williams said: 'It's a boost for Welsh football and Aaron himself. Everyone is pleased to see him back as Aaron is a top star.

'We have probably missed him in the last couple of games. The way he plays is quite free; he is creative and not scared of trying things.

'Aaron has been to a few games to support the lads and he has been happy with the progress.

'It was a nasty injury. You don't want to see that happen to any footballer especially someone you know.

'He's back ahead of schedule and he's a cracking lad. I just hope to see him back playing for us soon.'
