Announcement
WELCOME! This little shop is a place to find interesting objects from vintage to antique. Finds included from our days on Beacon Hill. The days we shopped on Charles Street and a decorating store called La Ruche (Apple Parish Bartlett) on Newbury Street. The days before we met our dachshund, Billy. We loved monkeys back then. From city to historic country house to bungalow on the beach - our love of the mix has continued. Please visit frequently as we are always adding things that catch our eye along the way!

5 out of 5 starsThis piece of Kuba cloth has one remarkable quality, which is that it presents a kind of optical illusion of light and shade, so that the checkered squares appear three-dimensional at a distance. I have only ever seen one like this, framed, in a hotel in Morocco, seven years ago. So I am very happy to have found it, even if it is not particularly old or finely woven. I have no idea if the maker intended this effect or if it just happened...
