Birth Centre for Wellington Consumer Survey
The World Health Organisation* states that, for healthy pregnant women, giving birth in their own home (or in a home-like birth centre environment) is a safe, and in some cases, safer (from unnecessary intervention) alternative to hospital.

Our group of parents, midwives, childbirth educators and natural therapists within the Wellington region, have come together hoping to give pregnant women and their whanau in Wellington a real alternative to birthing their baby in hospital.

The purpose of this survey is to try to ascertain if there is potential consumer demand to have an alternative, midwifery-led birth centre in Wellington, and if so, what consumers are looking for.

If you are supportive of this type of facility being created, please take the time to fill out this short survey.    Thank you.   16th April 2011
