ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR TASKFORCE
To disband Taskforce but keep the Wildlife Liaison Officer and the ‘Immediate Incident Constable’. Work will be picked up by Neighbourhood Policing Teams.

Will lead to 12 police officer posts and 7 police staff posts going.

INFORMATION BUREAU
Management cut by one-third, reduce the 24-hour Police National Computer Bureau opening to 7am – 9pm and transfer ‘critical night cover’ to control rooms. There will also be the “reduction and rationalisation” of the work of the Freedom of Information team and the loss of all contracted trainers.
This will see the loss of two police officer posts and 22 police staff posts.

CONTROL ROOMS
Centralise and reduce the number of control rooms from five to three.
Needs eight fewer police officers and four fewer police staff.

MOUNTED PATROLS
Reduction from 23 to 16 operational horses, losing seven police officer posts and four police staff posts.

CUSTODY
Custody being centralised. Some custody sergeants being replaced with police staff inputters.
Three custody suites could be partially closed at certain times between Monday to Friday, but would still leave adequate cell capacity at the other five custody suites.
The 12 police officer posts going will be replaced by 10 civilian staff.

CRIME REDUCTION OFFICER
To centralise the Designing Out Crime function. Some of the work load going to dedicated neighbourhood policing teams as part of everyday role.
11 police officer posts to be replaced by one civilian staff member.
