Last year, Viking published Bicycle Diaries, David Byrne's memoir about riding bikes in cities around the world. On September 28, Bicycle Diaries will arrive again, this time in forms more friendly to your morning commute (though we do not recommend reading it while riding a bicycle). The paperback edition of the book comes out that day, and so do the e-book and audiobook. The audiobook features music, background noise, and narration from Byrne himself.

Byrne being a music guy and all, it makes sense that he wouldn't want to do an audiobook the usual way. So in addition to the actual reading-the-book part of things, the Bicycle Diaries audiobook features music and "location sounds," "creating an atmosphere more akin to a radio show than a simple reading of the book," according to a press release. You'll be able to buy the audiobook from Byrne's website as either a complete book or cut up into individual chapters, podcast-style. The introductory chapter is available for free right now; click below to hear it.
