Christingle@Home

at Girton and Madingley churches

An online Christingle (via Zoom) for all the family.

There'll be two opportunities to participate: Tuesday 22nd Dec at 4pm and Christmas Eve at 3pm. We'll create our Christingles together and light them up before enjoying the sweets.

Signing Up

For safeguarding purposes we can't publish the Zoom meeting details in advance so we need people to sign-up to attend. We'll then email the Zoom meeting details around a few hours before the event. (We won't use your information for anything other than this event).

Please choose which one you want to attend and click on the link below to sign up.

(Note: Just the responsible adult needs to sign up, please don't include details of everyone who will be attending - you might wish to note the number of children involved in the notes. Make sure the name you sign up with can be matched to your Zoom account, please. Feel free to invite grandparents etc to join, but they need to register too.).

Getting your DIY Christingle Kit

We'll be preparing DIY Christingle bags (with appropriate hygiene measures in place). These bags will be available outside Girton Glebe Primary School at pick-up time towards the end of term (Wednesday 16th to Friday 18th Dec) and also available for collection in both Girton and Madingley churches (from Monday 14th Dec). If, for some reason you can't pick one up we'll try to deliver- please get in touch!

Each kit will include:

A candle
6 cocktail sticks
A bag of Haribo
A length of red ribbon
Some sticky dots to attach the ribbon

You will need to supply your own orange (or other round fruit) and some sticky tape.

If you want to provide your own things then feel free to just gather together the things you need as listed above.

Giving

Christingle is done in aid of the Children's Society. You can give to them online here.
