Publisher Description

Cognitive computers—cognizers—are instilling human-like intelligence into smartphones, tablets and other electronic devices using microchips modeled on the human brain. Dubbed the “Future of Computing” by the NYTimes, one of the “Best Innovation Moments of 2011” by the Washington Post, and one of “10 World Changing Ideas” by Scientific American in “A Computer Chip that Thinks,” this book describes how a marriage between Apple's motherly Siri and IBM's fatherly Watson will spawn a new era of smart, lifelike electronics based on the human brain.

Electronic brain in my smartphone? Yes!

I love Siri and I loved it when Watson won at Jeopardy on TV. To think that my phone could be that smart someday, to interact with me like a person, is awesome! I loved this book.
