Community Catalysts Application
Thank you for your interest in the Community Catalysts Program!

Recognizing that there is leadership in every community, Public Agency, an equity-centered design consultancy and social enterprise that is embedded within West Michigan Center for Arts + Technology (WMCAT), is seeking a diverse cross-section of community members to co-create equitable outcomes in their city through project-based work. Participation for the 2020 cohort is tuition-free. All program days will be in-person at WMCAT which follows strict health and safety guidelines for COVID-19. Program dates and times are included below.

By applying, you are committing to attending every session. Attendance is crucial to maintain the experience and impact of this program.

Time: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

The program will equip participants with tools and knowledge through a curriculum built around Equity-Centered Design; Leadership + Collaboration; and Systems Awareness. By the end of the program participants will....

-- Understand the basic processes and tools of Equity-Centered Design
-- Develop their capacity to lead across difference
-- Better understand the impact of interlocking systems that shape our region and their situatedness within those systems
-- Apply their learnings in real-time through a community challenge with a local partner

The cohort consists of 8 participants and 1-2 instructors. Because it is a small group that is able to safely social distance within our building, all program days will be in-person at WMCAT, which follows strict health and safety guidelines for COVID-19.
