CLOSED - Does Digital India Need Brand Ambassadors

Digital India is EXCITING, to say the least. And everyone across the world wants to ride this opportunity. It is the biggest initiative to be conceptualized in India in a long long time - and the babus have to go and spoil it by getting a few people as brand ambassadors! What they don't understand is that Digital India will make people and not the other way around!

However what prompted us at IndiaWatch to start this survey is the flip flop of the Dept of Electronics & IT (DEITY) making a complete joke of themselves - today morning (29/9) they issued a statement saying no one is appointed and then they withdraw the notice and in the evening they say yes we appointed these four people. Seems the Government itself does not know what it is doing or what it should do.

And when this information broke in the morning the Information Security community stood up to shout against the appointment of one of the 'ambassadors' and DEITY lost their bearings and did their funny dance through the day. It is not funny to see your own government in a comedy of errors, especially when they have done a few laughable things in the past few days.

So we thought that we should get your point of view on this new action from the Government.. Please share your opinion.
