Did you happen to catch this? Hoboken resident and guest blogger Andrew writes:
Hoboken made a brief cameo in "The Drowned and the Saved," the June 3rd season finale of NBC's "Law & Order." Detectives Lupo and Bernard journeyed out to the 'Boken to arrest a stalker/spying buff/murderer named Bobby Amato.
Early in the episode Amato seemed like a real bad dude, but as the story unfolded it was clear he was just a pawn in a larger political scam perpetrated by the fictional New York governor. The governor was trying to pull off a pay-to-play scam to fill an empty New York Senate seat, no doubt inspired by the antics of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich. And there were shades of the Eliot Spitzer scandal peppered into the story too.No exterior shots of Hoboken were depicted in the episode, but Hoboken's name was prominently featured on the show's signature location title cards, as you can see in the screen shot.
Go here to watch a recap of what happened and to see if McCoy and his staff were able to foil the plot.
Next season, "Law & Order's" 20th on the air, the show moves to Friday nights at 8 p.m., from its current Wednesday, 10 p.m. time-slot.
