Hi, I’m Emily (Em) Chadbourne
As a 42 year old myself I know how crunchy this decade can feel.
While I was busy wasting away my 30s I began to realise that my 40s would look exactly the same (unfulfilling) if I didn’t make some serious changes.
My youth was fading and while I logically knew that ageing is beautiful and something to be celebrated, I was a teenager in the 90s!
So for a long time my worth was rooted in youth, thinness and beauty. I’m not ashamed to say that the older I got the more irrelevant I felt. I wasn’t even close to being married!
Was my prime over?
Years of untapped potential seeped like regret through my mind and body.
I would wake up sweating in the fear of wasting what was left of my life.
I couldn’t let any more hopes and dreams wither away but with the years marching on I felt overwhelmed by the idea of how to do the next season of my life differently.
By 37 a few big life milestones had happened.
My Mum died (nothing quite like a parent dying to remind you that time is running out) and I got sober.
It was time to reclaim myself.
I was ready to do things differently.
I wasn’t going to let another year roll past.
I was going to make my life fabulous.
I threw myself even further into personal and spiritual development.
In doing so I found a 3 step formula for reconnecting women to their personal power so they could manifest lives they were f*cking WILDLY in love with. I soon realised that formula worked especially well for women in their 40s.
You see, being 40-something these days doesn’t mean what it did for our grandmas. But we’re still products of our boomer parents and our primary conditioning happened in a time that was deeply rooted in patriarchy.
