Pop culture round-up: Michelle Williams let it all hang out filming 'Meek's Cutoff,' NPR wins three Peabody awards, 'Philosophy Talk' tapes in Oregon

Love that Oregon breeze:

and costar Zoe Kazan enjoyed "some unique wardrobe benefits" while shooting

in the Oregon desert.

At a Monday night screening of the movie, according to the item, Kazan said one good thing about wearing the 1845-style dresses with full skirts was, "You can wear no underpants and just squat and pee and that's really useful..that's what the pioneer women used to do."

Williams seconded that, according to Stylelist, saying, "It's true. That's one of the things I missed about those dresses."

On a more serious note:

According to a press release, NPR has won three

for its covering of Pakistan, "an investigation into the bail bonds system and a series examining the failure of colleges to protect women from sexual assault."

But that's not all, as the Peabody awards also honored "Trafficked," "a raw two-part series about teen prostitution reported and produced by Youth Radio, and co-produced, edited and broadcast by All Things Considered; Radiolab, produced by WNYC-FM, co-hosted by NPR's Robert Krulwich and distributed by NPR; and the radio documentary 'Lucia's Letter' from WGCU-FM, the NPR member station in southwest Florida."
