It probably happens because it redirects to the Portuguese EA store.

BTW, I noticed that when browsing the EA Store afterwards, everything else was reduced so I added BFBC2 – Vietnam to my basket and then thought I’d give a 25% off code that had worked for me yesterday a try, not expecting it to do both. It did though! Took the price down to £5.02 (half price basically) so I bought it for my brother as well (good Xmas for him!). The code is o3gfubinq and you apply it at checkout.
You might want to post this too? Don’t know if this method now works for everything in the EA Stor, making everything lots cheaper, but it might well do.
I saw Lewie’s deal, and thought I’d look to see if there are more on the hot deals website, saw the BFBC2 for £5.02. Was just about to post it up, but you beat me to it Mark. I second the need for Lewie to post this up.
Sigh. Brought it just the other day on the Steam daily deal. Only £3.75 or so, so on about the same annoyance level as dropping a sandwich. Well, less, because dropping a sandwich immediately means not only have you wasted the money, but you also have no sandwich.
Actually still went ahead and grabbed a second copy, just because. You never know when Steam might collapse.

This only works in the UK and such, but they make proxies for things like this.
