centrotherm expands production area at Blaubeuren HQ

The German PV company will extend the site by around a third, thus taking the current production area from 23,000 square meters to a total of 31,000. While the exact financial figure was not divulged, it did says that the investment volume is in the double-digit million euro range.

As a result of the expansion, centrotherm states it will be able produce over 100 systems a month. It adds that its manufacturing output already tripled in 2010 to a level of 60 systems per month, while new record order levels of €1,049.8 million were secured in fiscal year 2010.

At the Blaubeuren site, the company manufacturers such products as tube furnaces for phosphorous diffusion (POCl3), batch-type systems for anti-reflective coating of solar cells, and firing furnaces.?
