King Neptune

Spent the evening in Newcastle celebrating Becky's 21st birthday, chinese on Stowell Street was very nice, even if there was a couple of strange waiters on duty.

Managed to work our way around town from 'The Town Wall' (new but very decent with excellent beer but unfortunately opposite The Forth which is one of my favourites when I'm in te region, a tug of war will ensue), 'Eclipse' (nuff said), 'Revolution' (for a big jug of brash cocktail), 'Popolo' (for a more sophisticated peruse of the excellent cocktails on offer), 'King Neptune' (as pictured), 'Tilleys' (running out of ideas, pub that sold booze) before heading back to 'The Town Wall' (where, amongst other delights, a small scale model of the original town wall and keep was built. It even had flags!).

Hotel was less than excellent.
