Halloween Poems for Sight Words
Description
Halloween poetry is the perfect way to practice your sight words! Use Halloween poems that are simple to read for your students! There are 6 original and simple Halloween poems that are easy to read and learn for Kindergarten and First Grade students. Each Halloween poem has multiple activities to go with it and the parts to build the poem in the pocket chart.
Each poem has the following activities to accompany it:
⭐Large print poem to share on an interactive whiteboard/smartboard.
⭐Pocket chart pieces so you can recreate the poem with your students or leave it in a center.
⭐One cut and paste sentence worksheet, which will practice unscrambling the words to make the first line of the poem.
There are multiple sight word printables for each poem, and they practice the following skills.
⭐Read the sight word.
⭐Find the sight word in the poem.
⭐Read and recognize other sight words previously taught and circling them.
⭐Print the sight word.
⭐Answer a comprehension question – some are literal, while some require students to make a simple inference.
⭐Illustrate the poem.
There are 21 worksheets in all.
Each poem has multiple worksheets since different sight words are highlighted, and there are different comprehension questions on each worksheet.
