In term 2 we will begin a rowing programme for any Year 10 & 11 students who are interested in being part of the Huanui Rowing team in conjunction with Whangarei Rowing Club.

Some of this programme will be run from school, other parts of it will either be held at the Whangarei Rowing Club, Riverside Drive, or at the Ngunguru estuary.  Sessions may be in school time, after school, and predominantly on Sundays.  Although we have secured a rowing coach, parent help will be required so please indicate below if you are able to assist (boat loading, unloading, support boat assistance, transport to trainings and rowing venues, transport to rowing events held on the North Shore or Lake Karapiro, etc).  The official rowing season starts in October and finishes in March but keep in mind that training starts well before October.

Please complete the form below if you and your child are interested in being part of this programme.  Due to the nature of the sport, this programme may be limited to a certain number of students.
