HPYC Sunfish Racing Club Boat Signup Form
HPYC has six late-model Sunfish available for use by members. This form is how you reserve a boat for racing.

First race (we try to run 2-3 each week, depending on conditions) starts 10a Saturdays in July and August. Format is short-course / collegiate, typically Olympic course (triangle-windward-leeward-windward finish). We usually get 6-8 boats on the line (and we're always looking for more, so tell your friends!). The racing is really good and fun, and all ages and abilities are welcome. The Sunfish is easy to rig, friendly to a variety of sizes and ages, and a blast to sail. The varied conditions (last summer) meant every dog had his or her day, and ours is a friendly fleet where we try to help each other get better as much as we compete. The season winner gets the Abercrombie & Fitch Trophy (big silver bowl)  for a year, and this year we'll also recognize each of the July & August winners.

1. Just enter your name at the bottom of this page and hit submit (save this link -- http://bit.ly/hpycsunsign -- for this form for future use).
2. Your entry will go into a Google Sheet where your entry is time-stamped. Signup for each Saturday's races starts at 9pm eastern time on the preceding Sunday night and ends at midnight on the preceding Thursday night.
3. Each Friday morning before each Saturday's races, the fleet captain or another volunteer will highlight the names of the folks who've successfully reserved available club boats.
4. In the event of over-subscription, our rule for allocating boats is "least-to-most, then first-to-last" That is, we allocate boats to folks who have used club boats the least so far (this year), then on a first-come, first-served basis. Our objective is to maximize the number of people who get to try racing with us, and to encourage repeat racers to buy club boats so we can recycle the proceeds to further expand the fleet.
5. Save this link --  http://bit.ly/hpycsunlist -- for future access to check allocation results on early Friday afternoons to see if you've got a boat. Scroll down to the latest week and look for a "y" or "n" next to your name.
6. Need to cancel a boat you reserved? Thinking of buying a club boat? Any other questions? Contact us: http://bit.ly/hpycsunmail

Hope to see you!
