Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell – the policy which has denied gays and lesbians the right to serve openly in the US military since it took effect in 1994 – has been repealed in the Senate. Under Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, more than 13,000 men and women have been discharged from the military because of their sexuality.
