At Jobs with Justice we are a part of a multitude of coalitions both locally and across the state and nation.  We're so lucky to be a part of coalition tables that are designed to take on the job of organizing around one specific area (like education or racial justice) and we are so grateful for the work and information that comes out of those meetings.  

With that in mind we thought it may be helpful to convene a meeting each month to specifically discuss the work in the Pioneer Valley around the multitude of decarcerate, defund, accountiblity, and abolition campaigns.  We thought this meeting could provide a good place for organizers and activists to share ideas and information and for the community to come together to collectively strategize and support one another in this organizing. We're so glad to be moving forward with this based off the positive feedback of area activists, organizers, public defenders, movement attorneys and community members!
We'll function as conveners in that our roles is to provide a space for these discussions to take place and we'll do the administrative work of managing dates and email lists etc.
At JwJ we find so much joy in being able to support you all in your organizing! We sincerely help that this (virtual) meeting space will be one in which we can come together to support each other in this important work in order to achieve true liberation!!  Thank you for being a part of it with us!!
