We—the parents, caregivers, students, everyday people in Kent County—are committed to fighting for our freedom to learn, breathe clean air, be ourselves and care for one another.
By signing this pledge, I commit to…
- Advocate for and support caring for neighbors across race and place, fully funding public schools, tending to our environment and investing in initiatives that ensure community members throughout Kent County have access to the resources we all need to thrive.
- Show up to a Kent County Commission meeting [view the meeting calendar] and submit a public comment to fund the public health clinics and programs offered by the Kent County Community Action department such as the Community Development Block Grant Program, Senior Outreach and Assistance Services, and Weatherization Assistance Program.
Engage in ongoing learning to deepen my understanding of the current political and social context by engaging in activities such as checking out one or more of these books from my local library and/or visiting the Jim Crow Museum in Big Rapids, Michigan.
