Course Information:
- This 6-hour workshop has a dual aim: increase teacher awareness of Language Systems and boost teacher proficiency in Language Skills. With Rodrigo and Stephan facilitating the sessions, participants will be able to recycle their knowledge of language teaching and keep their own language skills in tip top shape, through integrated activities designed with authentic materials. They will feel more empowered and equipped to implement these concepts in their practice.
1) Intro to Language Development
– The importance of language development for teachers at an advanced language level
– Interlanguage – between discourse and performance
– Opportunities for Development
2) Developing Systems: Grammar / Phonology / Lexis / Discourse
3) Developing Skills: Speaking / Listening / Reading / Writing
