Library Disability Support

If you need help with a disability related issue in the Library, the Library Disability Support Team can help.

They can provide assistance with:

  • the Disability Resource Areas
  • assistive software
  • using Library services and equipment
  • researching a topic including how to use journals
  • searching Discover for books and eBooks
  • finding your way around the Library
  • referencing and bibliographies
  • obtaining items in accessible formats
  • or any other Library query

One-to-one appointments are available via phone, Microsoft Teams or face-to-face, please click on the Book an Appointment button.

Skills development

The Skills for Learning webpages contain advice, resources and activities on university study, academic writing, maths and IT skills.

Study Support Software Finder

The Study Support Software Finder will help you to identify Disabled Student Allowance (DSA) software, Library software or free software which will help with a range of needs or tasks. For example if you are looking for software which will read text aloud to you, or change the colours of your screen.

University Disability Support

The Disability Advice team offer advice and guidance on any disability-related matters. They encourage all applicants and current students to contact them to discuss support and facilities available.

Chat with the Library Disability Support team

Your chat will be handled by a team of Library staff who may discuss it with the Library disability support team or refer it to them for specialist advice.
