Preparing for Sunday - Touring the Pentateuch: Genesis 12-50

Prepare your heart for Sunday by looking through these suggestions that will assist you in making the most of our time together.

VBS is just around the corner on July 11-15, 2011 from 9am-Noon.  We are looking for volunteers to be Crew Leaders and online registration is now available for your children.  For more information see our website or contact Stacy McCommon.
We want to express our thanks to all who participated in the church-wide picnic this past Sunday evening.  It was a sweet time of fellowship.  Please be sure to thank Steve and Carolyn Patterson and their life group for putting this together for us.

Prayer Requests

  • Danielle Watt - Daughter of Dave Watt, who was severely burned along with her boyfriend Josh recently in a bonfire accident.
  • Liam Lewis Jones - Lewis and Becky Jones, son and daughter-in-law of Rick and Karlene Jones, welcomed son Liam on June 14 (8 lbs 3 oz)
  • Emily Noelle White - Granddaughter of Bill and Lisa White; born premature (3 lbs  15 oz)with heart complications.
  • Larry James - Jennifer Davis' father who is suffering from multiple health issues, but is being treated for renal failure at St. Joseph's Medical Center.

Ministry Opportunities
We need help with transcribing during services and activities for a hearing-impaired member of our church family. If you have questions or can help, please contact Kandy Jackson.

Please continue to support our ongoing Haiti fundraiser by bringing in empty printer/copier cartridges for recycling (any kind). We are not collecting eye glasses anymore. Please bring them and place them in the box in the Fellowship Hall marked “Ink Cartridges.”

Children's Summer Camp will be June 27-30 and this year's theme is "Walk the Talk."  More information and registration forms can be found on our website.  Any questions can be emailed to Peggy George.  The full Summer Schedule can be found here.

Promotion Sunday – All students will be promoted to the next grade level in Sunday school on Sunday, July 10.
Make Up Nursery Training Class 
Wednesday, June 22, 6:30-7:30 in the Bed Babies Room. If you missed the Nursery Training Class on June 5, please make every effort to make up the class this Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.  We will highlight new curriculum, schedules, and policies that effect the littlest at SWBC.  Child Care will be provided.  Email the nursery for more information.
