I borrowed money to attend Date With Destiny, I slept in backpackers accommodation 30 minutes away from the venue, taking public transport to the venue and back, as I could not afford to pay for a taxi (this was pre-uber). On relationship day, Tony calls me out to speak and I remember complaining and whining to Tony Robbins about my financial situation at the time. How I left my job and started a business, but I am now more broke than I was when I had a job. Tony stopped me and asked about my family and relationship. I paused, stood tall, smiled and told him about my amazing, supportive, loving wife, who stuck by me as I tried to make this business work. I told him about my amazing boys. Then Tony turned around and asked the crowd of 5000+ people (some of which were multi-millionaires) “Who here would give up everything they have to be in his shoes?” To my astonishment half of the crowd put their hands up! It was at that moment that I realised I am the richest man in the world. You make me rich. You enrich my life. You are my backbone. You have stood by side in my darkest hour. You celebrated my brightest moments. We have shared the roller-coaster ride of life together since our late teens. We committed our lives to each other 21 years ago today. To this day, that has been my biggest triumph in life! You are my biggest accomplishment! To have someone as pure-hearted as you stay by my side throughout my trials, tribulations and screw-ups all these years is my biggest blessing! You have shown me love I never thought existed. Your smile is a light in my life that continues to shine so brightly! I am truly blessed to have the privilege of seeing your beautiful face first thing in the morning and last thing at night! We have shared more than half our lives together and I look forward to spending every possible second I can with you until our time in this world passes. And then God Willing we shall spend eternity together sharing a love so pure and so deep it has to be experienced to be understood. 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞! ◽ We have all heard this saying❗ ◽ But are we really living it❓ ◽ Most “Gurus” today speak about: 👍Serving at your highest level ❤Being heart centred 🤲Giving more that taking. ◽ 🤔What does this actually mean? 🤜Give Unconditionally Without Any Expectation Of Return🤛 ◽ ❌ 𝙄 𝙃𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙉𝙤𝙩 𝘼𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝘽𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙇𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨! ◽ 😲I had to learn the hard way, within my relationships, I would give without any expectations (externally). ◽ However, would be bitter when nothing came back in return. This caused much heart ache over the years, until one day I was truly confronted by this and was asked “am I really giving without expectations?” ◽ 💭After reflecting, I realised I was not congruent. Then the shift happened. ◽ A major turning point for me was when I reached out to someone recently and asked genuine questions about their life. They in turn opened up to me and met. ◽ What was profound was, this particular person is an extremely successful person. Yet they took the time to meet me and is now a mentor. ◽ When I reflected further to this, it really cemented for me the truth of giving more than you take! ◽ The tip here is, remove the ego, truly serve from the heart, you don’t know what impact that will ◽ have on people, PLUS you have no idea how you will be rewarded for your genuine work! ◽ Here is a question for you… When you are serving… ◾Are you truly serving from the heart without expectations?
