What a fantastic end to Sage and Millie's story. My favorite book in the series and also my all-time favorite rock star romance. Worthy of Melody is an engagingly written story with unforgettable characters that capture your heart. This series so far has been an emotional roller coaster ride and this instalment was no different. It was heartbreaking, sexy and sweet.

I loved Sage. He knew what he wanted and never wavered in his feeling towards Millie. He had so many swoon worthy moments and the last paragraph of this story melted my heart. I just loved the way he loved her.

When I first started this series I wasn't really sure how I felt about Millie. At first she has so many walls up. Once we find out why she is guarded with her heart I was able to connect with her. I ended up really liking her and was so emotionally invested in seeing her get the HEA that she deserved.

The chemistry between them is off the charts. It is one hot read.

I really hope R.C. Martin writes more books about the rest of the band. In the meantime I will just have to re-read this.

The finale readers have been waiting for is here and R.C. Martin killed it, I can't tell you how happy I was to have tears running down my face. Emotional, angst driven, and the perfect happy ending for a couple that's faced so many mountains. Worthy of the Harmony told us all about Sage, Worthy of the Dissonance allowed us to really see Millie, and Worthy of the Melody gives us the couple at their best, together they are everything.

We're not supposed to have secrets between us. There aren't supposed to be lies that separate us. We've got enough geography doing that on our behalf.

Millie and Sage, these two are perfect in this final novel, their relationship where it belongs and achieving their dreams as individuals. There has been so much character development in the previous two novels and that is very apparent in this emotional novel. Millie, finally, has faith in love and Sage, he's found so much more than just music that drives him. There was so much extra detail about Mountain & Men's rise to fame too, which made it all the more realistic. R.C. Martin's writing, though always excellent, is really above and beyond that, I honestly felt like I was watching a movie the entire time I read. Of course, it wouldn't be a part of the series with out a little bit of drama, but how it all works out is just right. I don't want to give anything away, but this novel, definitely the best one yet, just the perfect amount of smutty moments, angst, music, and of course, romance.

I don't want to live within the confines of those limitations anymore. I want to be bold, I want to love with everything I have in me, and I want to do it without regret.

The Mountains & Men series, starting with the sexy novella Encore Worthy, is the perfect series for fans of musicians, angst, and romance. The characters are so real and R.C. Martin writes emotional moments like no one else, you'll feel all the heartbreak and love right alongside them. Sexy and still thoughtful, the series quickly became one of my favorites, with Worthy of the Melody definitely being the best novel in the series. Can't wait to read what R.C. Martin comes out with next! Plus, that little secret part at the end? SWOON.

She's more than the harmony to my melody. She is my melody. She's my everything. Always.

Wow! Great way to wrap the series! What a ride! I am not going to give anything away, as there is a lot that goes on, but I don’t’ want to spoil anything. You really need to experience it for yourself!

This book wrapped it all up, but the journey to get to the HEA was not an easy road. This book had me from the first page all the way to the great epilogue! I loved every book in this series and I am sad that this is the end. I am so hoping that the rest of the band gets their story told.

If you want a smoking hot rock star romance with great characters, emotional subject matter and off the charts chemistry, then this is the series for you! Give it a read, you won’t regret it!

I was so sad to start this book as I have fallen completely in love with Sage. I should never question R.C. as she has a talent in telling a story that will stay with you. I was completely satisfied with the ending and it left me with a smile on my face and a sense of completeness. I don't think we are done completely with this band but I'm happy to say I felt Sage and Millie journey was told beautifully. I can't thank R.C. enough for bringing me Sage. He will forever be my top book boyfriend! If you haven't met Sage yet, one click Encore Worthy asap!

Dreamers & Doers
I read all four books back to back and since they revolved around the same couple - I am going to review the series as a whole -
My friend and blogger LaDonna Eddy Pigg had mentioned this series so I started with the first book
Encore Worthy - This is where we meet Sage McCoy and his upcoming band Mountains & Men. Sage is 21 years old, the baby in the band and after performing at a local club in their hometown of Ft Collins Colorado, sees Millicent "Millie" Valentine, the most beautiful woman he's ever seen and ultimately, the love of his life. Millie is 26 yrs old College Professor and the polar opposite of the bad boy gorgeous Sage, but one night with him she won't pass up, even though he wouldn't do in her orderly world.
What happens in the next 3 books is pure magic thanks to the writing of RC Martin. Ms Martin takes everything I normally read rock star books for and throws it all out the window while surprising me with a series totally dedicated to relationships, Sage & Millie, Sage & his family, Sage and his band mates. Wise beyond his years, Sage is dreamer and he knocks down every obstacle Millie tries to throw his way. Millie, for her part tries to deny that what she feels is real, but before long, she doesn't stand a chance against Sage and neither did I.
When reading the books, situations arise and as a rock romance reader, I kept waiting for things to happen to make this like other books I have read and when the misunderstanding does happen, it's in the final book and the reasoning is legitimate but instead of a cliche', it is handled believably.
Ms Martin had the ability to take a very HOT series and interject a profound spirituality to it that you do not see everyday, pair that with a strong family support system, the band members and the circle of friends around Sage & Millie and there's no doubt I will be on board for each and everyone of their stories. Thank you Ms Martin for daring to be different.

I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Sage and Millie. They are truly a part of my family now. I have watched their relationship go from strength to strength over the four books about Mountains and Men. I have cried so hard for them and with them too. My heart has been beating out of my chest with the adoration you can feel coming from Sage. He is a god among men for sure. That man makes me pine for him. His filthy mouth and sexual expertise is awesome. Yes please and thank you very much.

I'll take him, but that man has only got eyes for Millie, lucky girl.
The rest of the characters just add that bit more insight and love into the mix. Superb writing and superior insider knowledge of the rise of their stardom is evident in the story of the group's journey and the relationship between them all and support for Sage and Millie's love is just beyond heart melting.

The story follows on directly from Worthy of the Dissonance. Sage, lead singer for Men And Mountains, is touring as an opening act around America. They are so destined for stardom it's silly. Millie is still easily scared and not quite trusting of the utter devotion that Sage has for her. We follow the boys, and girl, in their whirl wind rise and meet some wonderful characters along the way; I can't wait to read Ashley's story, he is a character they meet along their way.
A lot happens that tests the strength of their love. You really need to read this whole series. It's one you won't regret.

This is the conclusion to the series, and there really isn't a better way to say this, but you MUST read the previous books before this, as this book will make no sense if you don't. So in the previous book, Sage and the others in the band are starting to make it big. Millie has found out that she is pregnant, and now its just a matter of telling Sage, but something keeps Millie from telling him, she has no clue how he is going to react. Sage gets a visit from the past and when it hits the tabloids, will Millie see the truth or the story the media wants told? Will their forever be over before it even really starts?

When I started reading this I was unsure how the author would do four books for one couple without it being boring. But with enough drama, and some really hot sexy times, this turned out to be a really good story. I give this 5 stars.

Worthy of the Melody is the third installment of Mountains & Men. The story continues with Sage and Millie.

During the series we are taken on the ride of a lifetime with the EPIC love of Sage and Millie. It's a love we can only dream of unless we are lucky enough to find our own Sage.

We have seen a change in Millie. She goes from being so insecure of her relationship with Sage to confident that she's it for him. But on a weird plot twist her security falters, only for her to become even stronger with her trust and faith in Sage.

Sage is amazing for a 21 almost 22 year old. He's so sure of himself, what he wants and where he wants to be. He wants his cake and to eat it too when it comes to being a rock star and a family man. He figures out a way to have it all, he just has to convince Millie of it.

I love how the story gets a HEA ending! And I love the rollercoaster of emotions that we end up feeling as we read the story. The supporting characters are amazing and I hope that one day we may get to see them get their own stories!

Fame and fortune changes people often not for the better. They don't keep the morals and integrity that were instilled in them when they were young. I really like that Sage, Derrick, Maddox, Knox, JJ and Alex keep their integrity as their success grows. They aren't perfect. They party hard, several of them chase after an easy lay but in the end they remain the family that stays together and watch out for each other.

Millie finally comes to the realization that in fact she is in love with Sage. It doesn't mean that she trusts fully that he won't leave her but she is beginning to let her guard down. Sage is able to convince Millie to resign from her job and come on tour with them. She is beginning to realize that she finally has a place to really call home. Home is wherever Sage is.

I recommend that your read this incredible series. Follow the the rollercoaster ride that they are on and the emotional ups and downs that they feel along the way. You will fall in love with all the characters. Must read!

I'm so happy I stuck with the series... For a minute there I didn't think I was going to make it... Millie's character growth in the last book was what kept me interested... This book came with it's challenges and angst, but it was all good! I enjoyed reading about how Sage and Millie navigated through their relationship while learning how to deal with Sage's growing fame... I love Sage, he was by far the greatest guy ever!!! Honest, loyal and hard working... Love how close he was to his sisters and how even though his parents didn't understand him or his direction they still tried to be there for him... This book felt full and complete.. Although I will say I'm curious as to what happened with Derrick and Alex???

Didn't like that the book ended at 83%, I was wanted more of their happy ending...

Gah!!

I so completely in love with this series. Sage McCoy? All I can say is WOW!! What a perfectly delectable Alpha male who made my inner cougar very happy. I adored his love for his doll, Millie. Their love had to overcome some great obstacles, but it was totally worth it in the end. This author penned an amazing series and I'm definitely gonna have to check out more of her work.

Finally, finally! This is the third book of the Mountains & Men Trilogy, featuring the band Mountains & Men, most specifically, the lead singer, Sage, and the love of his life, Millie. The full series comprises a prequel (Encore Worthy), book 1 (Worthy of the Harmony), book 2 (Worthy of the Dissonance), and this. I read the other books in 2016. At the time I discovered the series was a trilogy, book 3 had yet to be issued. I was so annoyed at the time. I hate cliffhangers and thought i'd lucked out that book 2 was available when book 1 ended. That is until I got to the end of book 2. ACK! (Now, I try to force myself to await all parts before starting a multi-part story.)

Anyway, back to Worthy of the Melody... Sage McCoy is young and loving life as the lead singer of the rock band Mountains & Men. Millicent (Millie) Valentine is a math professor at the local community college. After a tumultuous few months, which included a break-up and make-up, family issues on Millie's end, more of her self-doubt, etc. Millie and Sage are together and stronger. Sage is back on the road again and Millie finds out she's pregnant. What to do? She doesn't want to interrupt the band's tour -- especially with news like this. She and Sage haven't even discussed children. He's so young and his dream is just beginning. Some of Millie's old insecurities and anxieties surface. What will happen when she tells Sage? Will she tell him? How will their lives unfold?

I loved the ending this couple shares. I won't put spoilers in, but you have to know they get an HEA. This book, however, is not just about Sage and Millicent's relationship, but of Sage's relationship with his parents. Throughout the series, Sage's parents have wanted him to give up music and go to college. They don't understand him and the music and don't want to watch him fail. This puts a strain on their relationship on the rest of the family (Sage's two sisters, one of whom is married with children). This time, we get to see Millie be the strong one as she and Sage face their future together.

Overall, we get a satisfying ending to a fantastic love story. I mention in one of my reviews for one of the previous books that if I had known this was a cliffhanging trilogy at the time I started it, I would have passed it by. If I had, I would have missed out on one of the best romances I've read (and reread!). While I'm happy it's finally ended (no Sage and Millicent cliffhangers!), I'd like more with Sage and Millicent, their family -- both the actual family and the band family. How are their relationships going? How is fame affecting them? Are they still going strong? Maybe non-cliffhanging stories at the holidays???

Be prepared because I'm about to GUSH over this book and this series!
This book was the perfect ending to Sage and Millie's epic love story. I was both excited and sad to start to read this book! Excired to read because... MORE SAGE. Sad because I knew this was going to be the last book about this amazing couple.
I will admit that there was a point in the story where I was afraid that they were not going to get the HEA that these two deserved so much. But as always, I had faith in RC's writing. She would never do that to her readers.
During these first four books of the Mountains and Men series we have followed Sage and Millie from the first time their eyes met while he was on stage singing at a local pub, through the ups and down of a new developing relationship, to finally in this volume Sage and Millie seeing all of their dreams coming true.
The epilogue... Oh em geee! It was absolutely amazing. She included everything you wanted to know to show that they most definitely are getting their HEA!
Sage has skyrocketed to the top of my book boyfriends list with those sexy horn-rimmed glasses, hot tattoos, panty-melting singing voice and dirty-talking mouth. He lives hard and loves even harder.
RC has developed some amazing supporting characters in the other members of Sage's band. I'll be waiting on pins and needles for their books to come out! I don't know how she will top Sage, but I'm sure she will find a way!!

This is the conclusion of this series, and I must admit I was not ready for this amazing series to end. I sincerely hope that the rest of the Mountain & Men get the chance to have their own story! Be warned though, the previous books in this series need to be read first.
I have loved Sage and Millie from the very first book. What will happen when Millie reveals her news to Sage? You really need to read this for yourself! No spoilers from me lol.
This is a beautifully written series, and I am in awe of this author’s brilliant writing talent. I was hooked and captivated with this series from the very beginning, and with all of the drama, and sexy times, I could not put these books down. I recommend this authors work for all readers, and I cannot wait to read more of this authors work.

This was such a bitter sweet story. I couldn't put the book down but every page read brought me closer to the end of Sage (my current bbf ) and Millie's story.
I recently fell head over heels for Sage. He is such a perfect combination of sexy rocker, steamy lover and sweet boyfriend. I could read Sage books forever. I found Millie's relationship insecurity frustrating at times because Sage could not love her anymore if he tried, but having been similar to Millie I know it takes a while to really trust so I plead with readers to not judge her too harshly and hang in with her till the end.
This book is such a beautiful ending to Sage and Millie. R. C Martin certainly poured her love for these two into the book. I could feel the connection with the characters. I am so glad I stumbled onto this series. My life would not be the same if I hadn't read Sage and Millie's story.

A great ending to a great series! I love Sage and Millie's story, but I hope there will be more stories about the other band members. Mountains & Men's success just keeps growing with Sage leading them to stardom. Millie has some big news for Sage that will change their whole lives. Will it change for the better, or will it cause sacrifices to be made? Will Millie and her dream chaser live happily ever after, or are there more surprises in store for this hot couple?

Perfect Ending to Sage and Millie

I thought that Millie and Sage would have no more drama with their relationship but boy was I wrong especially when Sage's ex girlfriend tries to break up Sage and Millie. But in true Millie style she doesn't back down and stands up for her man. I'm not going to lie I did get really mad and yelled at R.C Martin about a certain part in the book! But the ending to Sage and Millie was perfect and I loved being able to enjoy their journey together through the ups and downs and most of all the love they have for each other. I can't wait to read about the next Mountains & Men band member.

Wow, what a great ending to this amazing series!
In this last installment, Millie and Sage continue to face obstacles in order to find their HEA, things that get in their way and that’ll only make them stronger!
I loved the Millie we see here, so self-assured and who adamantly stands up for her man. She’s this strong person Sage taught how to love and be loved and there’s no turning back for her now. Even though she grew up with no love or affection, she finally accepts she is worthy of so much more, that Sage loves her with all his heart and that he will do anything for her. He’s on my list of sweetest book boyfriends ever and, oh boy, am I really going to miss him!
Once again, be prepared for some important twists and turns. This book kept me on my toes, I just couldn’t stop reading while wondering what was next! But at the same time I was kind of sad to know that once I finished it, I was getting to the end of a beautiful and unforgettable story of perseverance and of showing the reader that love conquers all when it’s pure and strong.
We get to see the secondary characters in all their glory here too. I really liked the band and Sage’s sisters, they’re so much fun! By the end I felt like I knew them all as friends and can’t wait to read more about them!
All in all, I can’t recommend this series enough. If you’re a romance reader you’ll love it. It is sweet, fun, angsty, it has so much depth, characters are great and beautifully developed…everything I say will not be enough, so go ahead and see it for yourself!
