The Environmental Assessment (EA) documents for MT BLM’s September 2019 Oil and Gas Lease Sale are now available. According to the website, documents, and GIS data, MT BLM is proposing to offer 12 parcels, 7,498 acres with 6 parcels, 6,408 acres in Montana and additional parcels in North Dakota. Comments are due June 16.
Rocky Mountain Wild has prepared a screen showing conflicts between the proposed parcels and important wildlife, wilderness, and other resources values.
Conservation conflicts identified include parcels in greater sage-grouse general and priority habitat management areas.
Please take a moment and submit
comments to the BLM asking them to protect the wildlife and wild lands in this region by removing affected areas from the proposed parcels.
