WHAT ARE COMMUNITY GROUPS?
Community Groups (CG) are the small group ministry at New Day. Jesus set the pattern for discipleship by prioritizing a small group that shared life with one another. This pattern is repeated throughout Scripture and church history.
Community Groups meet regularly for us to share our lives with one another and grow spiritually. CGs are a primary way to meet the need for deeper connection within New Day and continued transformation into Christlikeness.
GROUPS ARE LISTED BELOW
ALL GROUPS SHARE THIS MEETING FLOW:
- Share snacks or a meal while “catching up” with one another.
- Leader will open with a Scripture passage and shares briefly
- Each person shares a thought, experience, or action from the recent week(s) that illustrates “where” or how they are spiritually.
- Share prayer requests and spend time praying together
WHEN ARE COMMUNITY GROUPS?
All groups begin meeting the week following Sunday, September 11th. Groups meet every other week* and run year-round with breaks at Christmas and in the summer. Meeting over the course of the year allows us to develop a deeper bond.
*Young adults and youth group meet every week. Youth group meets through the school year and has scheduled events through the summer.
We're so excited to stay connected and strengthen our community here at New Day!
