PAPISA is Rita Oliva, a singer, songwriter and instrumentalist based in São Paulo, who took part in bands Cabana Café and Parati before releasing her solo work with the EP Papisa (PWR Records, 2016), the album ‘Fenda’ (2019), its twin ‘Remixes da Fenda’ (2020) and ‘Amor Delírio’ (2024), her second studio album. PAPISA's music fits the indie psych rock and dream pop labels and sounds new in both genres due to its Portuguese lyrics and strong influence of Brazilian melodies.
After playing the main stages in Brazil in recent years, the artist went on a North American tour in March 2024, which took in three festivals in different states, including SXSW in Austin-TX.
With her single Dores no Varal highlighted by Seattle's KEXP radio as Song of the Day and her second album Amor Delírio recently released by Spanish label Costa Futuro, the artist is opening a new phase in her career, expanding into the international market and delivering a work based on sensitivity, connection and deep emotional surrender.
