If you've never had the chance to rub elbows with the Dalai Lama, now is your chance. Your elbow may never touch his but you can come to a virtual chat Saturday.

Want to hang out with the the 14th Dalai Lama? You’re in luck as the spiritual leader will participate in a Google+ Hangout tomorrow with Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

The Dalai Lama, who joined Google+ today, will take part in the On Air Hangout at 4:30 a.m. ET Saturday as part of the Desmond Tutu Peace Lecture in Cape Town, South Africa. While that is probably too early for most, Google will archive the video to watch later.

South Africa has not granted the Dalai Lama a visa to visit the conference because of his political status with China: China has exiled the Tibetan leader. He will broadcast from his home in India.

This is far from the first time the current Dalai Lama has jumped into the digital foray. He maintains an active Twitter account, @DalaiLama, and has Klout score of 85. His Facebook fan page boasts more than 2 million fans.
