White iPod Touch images surface

Nothing can quite rival the hysteria surrounding the White iPhone. The thing rose to epic proportions and became the apple (pun intended) of every fanboy’s eye. Now another iOS device could possibly get the white treatment: The iPod Touch.

9to5 Mac reports that parts for the white Touch have surfaced and that the leaked photos show hardware that could have been for a “scrapped” iPod Touch 4, or possibly the coming next-gen model. The photos are unconfirmed and could be nothing more than an in-house experiment, but something tells us that the success of the first White iPhone means it could become a staple of the iOS line. The units are rumored to be extremely similar with the iPod Touch 5, mostly sporting internal upgrades.

The PMP isn’t going to be even nearly as hyped or desired, but Apple clearly knows how to milk a color scheme. Given how consumers reacted to the White iPhone 4–a phone that had been available for the better part of a year–a new anything from Apple in the coveted color will at least be mildly profitable. If anything, it could find some new revenue for the iPod, whose sales have been steadily plummeting since 2008.

I used an iPad as my main camera, and what happened amazed me

I’ve spent the last few days using the iPad Air (2024) as my primary camera, and what started out as a bit of a joke became more serious as I went along. How so? Because I compared the results with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The thing is, to my eyes, the iPad sometimes took better photos than the iPhone.

Confusing thoughts and emotions rushed through my head. Was I about to carry an iPad around all the time? Was there something wrong with my iPhone? Had I been mistaken all the times when I have used the iPhone to take a special photo and been pleased with the results? The iPad, a tablet with a single camera, shouldn’t be outperforming the flagship iPhone’s camera at any time. Yet, this was what I began to think was happening.

If you’ve been a longtime iPhone user, you’ve probably seen every default wallpaper iOS has to offer — and you’ve likely had a few favorites that you miss. The good news is that, according to the latest news about Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024, Apple is set to bring back many old-school wallpapers dating back to the early days of the Mac and iPhone.

“Apple’s devices are getting new wallpaper packs, including Mac versions that reference old-school icons and slogans,” said Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in a report. “The iPhone wallpapers will have options that look similar to early ones on the phone.”
