This free, two-day workshop is open to teens 16-18 years old in the Washington Tri-Cities.
Saturday & Sunday, November 16-17, 2019 from 10am-4pm both days on the WSU Tri-Cities campus (2710 Crimson Way, Richland, WA 99354).
Do you love podcasts and dream of making your own? Are you interested in learning more about the field of journalism? Do you have a story to tell? If you answered "yes" to any of the above, this workshop is for you!
You're invited to spend a weekend working with professional public radio journalists to make your own radio story. In this workshop, you'll learn how to record and edit audio, conduct interviews, write a script, and speak on air. You don't need to have any previous audio or journalism experience to apply. The goal of this workshop is to introduce young people to public radio journalism, and to amplify the voices and experiences of teens in Eastern Washington.
