Tessa Miller has always loved Christmas. She's always felt that there was something magical in the air during the holiday season. This year something is different—she’s not feeling the same spirit in her heart. With her new husband, Brock, out of province for work, Tessa finds herself feeling isolated and alone. Determined to find her inner Christmas, she decides to head back home in hopes that being around her family and her home town will ease the quiet depression she’s been feeling this holiday season and bring some of the holiday magic back to her.
Brock knows Tessa is hurting, and he knows how difficult it is for his wife to be away from her family. Unfortunately, there’s little he can do about it being so far away from home. When his boss lets him leave early to spend the rest of the holidays with his wife, Brock decides to surprise Tessa—with a little help from Elle and Braden.
Can Brock make the holidays brighter and restore Tessa’s love of Christmas with his surprise?
J.C. Hannigan lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband, their two sons, and their dog. She writes contemporary romance, through which she brings to light awareness of mental health and social challenges.
Like any good Canadian, she loves hiking and carbs.
This was such a sweet, quick holiday read great for any time of the year! I loved seeing Tessa and Brock again after their wedding and reading about where life took them. JC Hannigan has a way with words and I love reading about this family so much!
Although I found this series easy to read & somewhat enjoyable, once I got to book 3 and this book, I couldn’t help but get annoyed by the lack of attention to detail. It’s unfortunate the author didn’t reread her previous books when writing additional books to a series. This would have help her make unnecessary errors... 1) Brock went to Alberta for mining work not bull riding. 2) Tessa’s cousin is named Caroline not Cheyenne. I also felt the end of each book was left lacking.
I loved the Rebel series, so it was a no-brainer to read this novella. It did not disappoint! This was such a sweet love story set around my absolute favourite holiday.
A perfect sized novella featuring my favorites from the Rebel Series gifted from the Author, who I thank profusely for writing. Tessa's love for Christmas is strained this year due to all of the recent changes, and she's having a hard time. Insert the adorably creative friends to bring it back with a super sweet surprise and a little glimpse into what's been going on since Rebel Souls. What a great heartwarming holiday addition to an incredibly romantic series!!
Tessa and Brock are two of my favorite characters in the Rebel Series. This novella is adorablely sweet. Tessa is returning home for the holidays. She can't handle being alone. Brock is gone for work. But little does she know she has surprise coming. Brock is coming home. I love everything JC writes and this novella is added to my list of favorites.
J. C. Hannigan has done it again with another well written novella. She knows how she wants the characters to sound and what her readers want to see. If you like romance, humor and creativity than this is the novella for you to pick up. The characters each will bring a part of your world to life. Someone can relate to being lonely during a holiday and having someone you love come home as a surprise.
I highly recommend all of J. C. Hannigans books to read especially this series with all the characters to fall in love with.
A cute catch up for followers of the Rebel series. This quick read novella lets readers visit with Tess and Brock, Elle and Braden, along with their friends and family during the Christmas holidays. This is not a stand alone! If you have not read at least one of the Rebel books, you will be lost.
This was such a sweet, quick holiday read but really you could read it any time of the year. I was excited to see where life has taken Brock and Tessa after their wedding and reconnecting with this family felt like coming home for Christmas.
I think this has to be one of my favorite Christmas reads ever!
