Santa Baby is a heart-wrenching masterpiece that will leave you happily ruined and utterly content in the midst of beautiful mind-blowing chaos. The plot felt like it took on a more free-flowing structure while keeping the signature twists and intensity that this fantastic author never fails to surprise me with every time. The heat between our main characters started with a life changing blast, and then went into slow, delicious simmer until it finally turned into pure molten passion that was undeniable. The push and pull throughout this book wrung my heart out until there was nothing left, but the utter depth and incredibly real feel of each character made the heartache a little easier to bear. True genius can make any subject easier to swallow and endure as it coaxes you to keep going with a tiny sliver of undeniable hope and a dash of the sweetest sugar imaginable. Raji has swallowed the age-old lie that a fulfilling job can replace the need for love and family. Well-meaning parents and mentors pound the message that work is more important since it provides you with the money you need to pay bills and buy food to eat. With laser-focus Raji has bought into this and structured her life around her blossoming career. After all, not everyone can have everything they want, right? She is a fiercely independent woman who knows what she wants, and nothing will distract her. What happens when Fate tosses a temptation that is too good to walk away from on her path? Can she maintain her concentration while walking a dangerous tight rope between dreams and desires? The wonderful thing about this story is that there is no right or wrong way to get to where you need to be. All you need to do is to start walking, ask questions, begin dreaming, and most importantly live life. Dancers start their careers off with one step, doctors begin their careers with one fact, and writers birth a masterpiece beginning with one word. Every journey has to start with something small, so don’t be afraid to make mistakes or wrong turns along the way. They may just lead you in the right direction. Blair Babylon has created another fabulous work of pure genius with this wonderful story! She shows off her versatility as an author by taking us on a short side path from her main characters and putting her heart into showing us just how much about Peyton we never knew. Her exploration of the true heart of this incredible man is nothing short of extraordinarily breathtaking and stunningly beautiful. Blair is one author that brilliantly shines and stands above all others in the romance genre. She is a precious treasure that I would love everyone to be able to savor and cherish at least once in their life.

Each of Blair’s stories has something unique about it. Peyton and Raji’s story is no exception. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about Peyton, based on what I knew about him from the other books where he had a small role. The more of his story that I read, the more I liked him. We all make mistakes in life and Peyton was no exception. The difference is that he realized it and wanted to change himself and be a better person. Raji’s was the “cold-hearted lizard person” she needed to be to become a cardiothoracic surgeon. She knew what she wanted in her life, and was willing to sacrifice just about anything to achieve her goal. The two of them started out as just a wedding hook-up, but neither of them could quite give it up, despite the fact that Raji’s schedule kept her at the hospital most of the time, and Peyton’s life as a rock star with Killer Valentine kept him on the road for months at a time. They snuck in whatever time their schedules would allow, flying from place to place, if they needed to. As the story progressed I found myself cheering for them to find a way to work things out together and get what they each needed and deserved. There are plenty of hot, sexy scenes, as well as laugh out loud fun scenes. I would definitely recommend you add this book to your Blair Babylon collection. I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review, but also purchased this book.

Oh, Peyton what a kinky nice guy you turned out to be. I loved Santa Baby. We met Peyton back during the Rock Stars in Disguise: Georgie series. Peyton and Georgie had a relationship when they were young but Peyton did something pretty bad to destroy that relationship and their friendship. He came back into her life after she was involved with Xan (Alexandre) and apologized for his misdeeds but it was too late; Georgie was in love with Xan. I'm so glad that Blair decided to give Peyton his HEA and tell us more about him. He is introduced to Raji at a mutual friend's wedding. They have a quick hook-up and the sparks fly. Raji is a cardiothoracic surgical resident; her only goal is to become the best heart surgeon in the world. She lives for medicine and will let nothing get in her way. That is until life throws her a curve. Peyton was a bit of a jerk in the Georgie books but boy does he redeem himself in Santa Baby. He and Raji agree to keep tearing up the sheets with each other without any commitment; that's the way Raji wants it. Peyton loves her and will agree to anything to keep her in his life. Unfortunately, when life throws Raji a curve she backs away from Peyton. From the title we already know that a baby is involved but I'm not giving anything else away. The only other thing I'll say is that there is definitely an HEA for Peyton and Raji, just the way there should be. Blair Babylon's writing always helps to enrich my vocabulary. 😊 Here are a few of the words I looked up while reading Peyton's story: rictus, titer, susurration, and parturition.
